  1. what i do is take the new TB plate and position it just like the stock plate sits when the truck is off. then i slide the motor out of the old one, and exactly the same way into the new one. you do this once the TB is out of the truck and the rivets are drilled. set them both on a table and just slide the motor in just as you took it out. this will stop the surging. it seems as tho the motor was replaced in such an off normal position that the truck cant correct it. the instructions suck for that thing, they say its ok to throw it in however it goes. that is not the case, i have seen the same symptoms as your truck from the plate being positioned wrong. its very odd that it wont relearn, normally the truck will compensate fuel and air to balance everything. if that doesnt work, it has a stall saver mode. so if what i said makes any sense, just try it and let me know how it works out. merry christmas
  2. looks good man. i gotta say that has to be the craziest license plate spot in the front bumper. i love it lol
  3. i have the same TB..... had it for 7k miles now, before blower and with it. when you installed the stock e-motor in the new TB, did you place it in the same position or just put it in? thats very important, regardless of what the BBK instructions say. also, did you let it idle for 10 minutes before driving it?
  4. those are definatly w3's, none of the other JLs look like that. they are the dual voice coil w3's, not those new single coil w'3s taht look like w6's and are cheap as hell. this is a great deal, i would buy it if i needed it. very clean sounding subs
  5. actually there is just about any part you could think of that is available for that motor. it is a very popular marine engine, so alot of the parts come from there. i had one in my 22 donzi, it was blown . they make some crazy power on FI. nice choice on the powerplant , its definatly the best motor under the duramax
  6. yea your brakes are vaccum assisted, only HDs are hydraulic. if it hasnt chnaged and this is how the trucks always been, its totally normal. they have horrible pedal feel. they stop ok, it just takes about a foot of travel to accomplish it. if you had a leak it would throw a code, and the truck wouldnt stop. sounds fine to me.....
  7. it looks to be a direct fit. rotors are the same thickness and diameter (oddly enough). the back might be tricky, but all i really care about is the front. btw my baers are squeeking horribly, and mainly when im not braking. i cant believe i have to go sand the pads and bevel the edges because the rotor wasnt surfaced right. for $2k you would think youd get a little better
  8. no i dont have an impala ss. i do have a TBSS, which was at the grocery store during the photoshoot i doubt id be surprised, i know your truck is prob the fastest everyday driver on here, no doubt. unless it runs 9s with the front tires two feet off the ground, i think i have a pretty good idea of your machine . its not stock, thats why i said 500whp im sure your not much slower tho..... my latest project is stickin a T56 in the SSS. after QUIK posted that GMC with it i have gotten totally hyped about it. also stickin some z06 6/4 piston callipers on it. they are dirt cheap @ my cost(and in general).
  9. i odnt know that vette might give me a run for my money. before you think about that 427 with that maggie think about the 122 maggie to go with it, i .dont htink the 427 would play well with the maggie 112. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> haha i meant the truck, i would sure hope a 500whp car that wieghs no more than 3k would be faster. just ordered the rims for the Z06, cant get pics becuase the website is macromedia flash . anyways they are modular society forged 3 piece 19x10/20x12 with machined finish/polished lip.
  10. sure no prob. upper two pieces: 42212 lower 3 piece bumper kit: 42042 these are the polished aluminum kits, they also have brushed and black. That'd be a Cobalt SS. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> wow im impressed, that pic showed like 2 feet of the back side lol. i was wondering if anyone would catch that
  11. yes i did, it looks so good to me the way it is. i like a little bit of color, its already so black lol no i did not, and yes, i am VERY happy with them. i had two 10w6v2 JLs in the cobalt (the ricer wing can be seen in one of those pics lol). these not only hit harder but i got both for the $ of one JL. they must wiegh 25 lbs a sub, 7" mounting depth.
  12. dont worry chase your truck will always be faster thinking about a 427 for her tho...... (with my maggie on it ). the gauges come in blue or red, and the DIC is also changed to the same color. the AC panel can be taken apart and LEDs can be installed to whatever color you desire, i just dont care lol. they are Nu Image gauges, they just came out. theyve had those bling ones for the lade with the little plastic diamonds but i didnt like them. its easy to install its just hard to reinstall the needles. just incase anyone gets a set, dont follow the nu image provided instructions, they will result in misreading gauges. feel free to PM me for any install help. we all know that if i cant help mr. p can i made like 5 how-to's on gauge installs for the cobaltss.com forums and the trailblazer forums, i could just post it up again
  13. thanks. i used the silverstar bulbs, you can get them at any discount auto/pep boys. i think they are 3157s.
  14. nice man, i love triumphs i want an R1 for some reason.... guess my horsepower/speed addiction is beyond 4 wheels now
  15. ok these are just for fun, off topic but it is a new goodie nothing has made me smile so much since installing the maggie..... the truck still makes more power lol
  16. heres some new goodies i put on last week..... tell me what ya think carriage works 5 piece billet grille nu image stainless face gauges w/ blue needles eclipse 6600 my old goodies in a custom downfiring enclosure also shaved the tailgate but didnt get arround to pics, HUGE difference in the looks. i highly recomend doing it, it was pretty easy as well
  17. wow man that looks great....... btw nice choice on the wheels
  18. sweet man! the stock pulley is a 3.3, unless they asked you for your mods and thought you had need for a 3.2 or 3.1..... happy b day, and honestly you will smile so much after that thing is installed. BTW make sure to check everything in the kit, we have gottten several lately with some incorrect parts. my blower had the SS/Denali/Escalade p/n, but its an H2 blower (snout is shorter). so just check it out, an easy way to tell is the H2 intake tube does a full U-turn
  19. very impressive..... especially because the stang has over 100+ whp. nice vid, hows it handle at those speeds? havent taken it over 120 yet lol.
  20. that looks badass! i say you match it like the last one, i really like it
  21. the funny thing is that truck was "sittin low". hes got norcalss (from tbss.com/trailvoy.com) front coilover kit. its adjustable from like 1.5" to 4". you can see them peekin out of the front....
  22. i still think joe gibbs avalanche limo wins. its basically a joe gibbs truck, but longer. its blown too
  23. beautiful vette do they have a seperate ballast and ignitor or is it one piece? thanks
  24. how did that work out? ive been thinking about one. how come your not running it on the SS?
