  1. well i just installed the belltech 3" drop leaf packs. the installation is a PITA, the stock U bolts barely reach. all the kit included was bump stops, the mushy ones. anyways, the SS is dropped 1" from a reg ex cab. this is done via stock leafs, therefore making the belltech leafs only drop 2". but my truck mustve dropped 3 1/2, and im on stock shackles and hangers. there is maybe a finger between the wheel and bed, MAYBE. everything was installed correctly, called belltech to confim. of course they were clueless, what a surprise. rides horrible and has hardly two inches to travel. any ideas?
  2. yup good ole belt chirp. but id watch out for those gatorbacks. they do grip exceptionally well, but i had 3 and all made horrible noises
  3. very nice. note to self, dont piss off holty
  4. looks great! i had to do a fair ammount of work to get to that site(at LEAST 4 clicks), but its ok cause it was worth it
  5. i see you are a 2WD..... would be glad to hook you up with a dyno tune. i know a great shop thats local that can install that stuff for ya.
  6. correct, they are different. none come with tips. it seems like a very inferior product to borla.... its basically a cheaper form with a poorer sound
  7. kit from GM will run you about $2180, at a good price. plus install of course..... this being from GM retains all functions you currently are euqipt with
  8. yes, almost all the GMPP kits are borla. from my experience, they dont seem to fit the cars worth a damn. 4/5 cobalt ss s/c systems i had to bend with a bender just to keep them from melting the bumper off...... they are also small diameter pipping. believe it or not, the cobalt ss s/c is a 2.5" stock. their GMPP catback is 2.25". it gave me 2 degrees of KR . also sounds like stay away....... stay far away. i sell it, so believe me lol
  9. haha thats funny. i wish i could do that to people lol. my buddy raced a TBSS, and after he won, the guy rolls the window down and says "nice race, that thing is fast". guy has a BSO uniform on i cut off a road king tonight, thought it was a reg guy. then soon noticed it was a sherrif.... mighve done a white smoking 10-40mph burnout not even 10 ft from him......but.... he wishes he could see thru 5% lmao.
  10. lmao thats great. but honestly can you blame him?
  11. i bet that would work great. i have those mushy belltech bumps in the rear, that chase has. the back rides horrible. i just finished two full days of work and didnt have time to look under the car to see if i was riding on the bumps. but i can tell u that it feels like a have a steel bar welded to my axle. have you heard of anyone using the belltech leafs?
  12. I'm not truly left-handed, I write with my right hand; my mother and sister are though. If I had to do this over again, yes I would not cut one nub off the damper but instead weaken it, maybe even progressively by drilling 6 3/16" holes in the top nub and 4 more 1/4" holes in the 2nd nub, so that as the truck compresses the bumper it gets progressively stiffer. Mr. P. P, thanks for the inspiration sir i just installed my belltech leafs, spindles, and keys. as i told you before, i cut my stops to the last nub, and rode soley on the torsion bars. it rode fantastic until it traveled more than 3 inches lol. so tonight i put new bumps in, drilled the first nub 8 times with a small bit(dont remember size). now it rides amazing, but gets progressively stiff real fast. its perfect. and its definatly a 3" drop, im barely one finger in the front. with the keys its very tight, handling is great. thanks again!
  13. so happy i will never have to see that then again if i ever do, i can garuntee you i will be walking, on account of the truck hardly running in 50* weather lmao
  14. i constantly have a desiel sound..... i figured it was the rockers, but now youve made me think twice..... could it be the pistons? btw the stock lifter is a great lifter, its incapsulated and everything
  15. definatly get one. i have both as well..... that little thing runs! much faster than a stock SSS or a slightly modded one. just make sure to get 2wd, runs much better. a CAI, headers, and true duals puts them in the low 13s..... heads and a mild cam with a good tune would land you solid in the 12s
  16. well i lowered it the cheap way, and it rides exactly like the cheap way. i just did keys and shackles. i would like to get a set of spindles, but i have been told that they reduce the lock to lock steering. is this true? if so with what kits... for the rear i would like to do beltech leafs with stock hangers and shackles, along with beltch nitro-active shocks all arround. any opinions? i just need the best ride for a 2/3. thanks!
  17. How in the hell did you get that on without any tools? It must have been harder than a bitch! I cant even imagine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes that's a very good idea. I just threw a tensioner on sunday..... that makes two for me
  18. ya thats exactly what happened. my father had never driven the truck, and he decided he wanted to. odd thing is that the belt is the perfect size, and the stopper broke off the tensioner, meaning that the belt had to come off first.... o well i got two new tensioners for $80, this time im prepared
  19. well i just finished breaking the truck in from building the bottom end, and had just done about 15 pulls on my dyno doing some final tuning. it was late at night, and i just happened to pull up to a ford gt at a stoplight. we both took off, but i was stoped by a loud snap in the top of first. power steering was gone, figured it was just a thrown belt. turns out that the tensoner pretty much exploded. i had shrouds of metal in my fenderwells . is this a common problem with the maggie kit tensioners? mine is a dayco. any thoughts? i dont want this to happen again, my truck doesnt do well in the ghetto. ;)
  20. i agree, get rid of those discount auto wires. go with OEM, they work just as good as any MSD.
  21. have a set of 16 Crane Gold Series 1.8 ratio rocker arms, with pushrods, guideplates, and all neccesarry hardware/everything included. the rockers have 400 miles on them, been installed for 3 days. decided to go with a huge came instead. these will work with any 4.8,5.3,6.0. yeilds gains of arround 10-15 whp, same idle as stock. increases lift by about 9%. asking $500 shipped HID kit is a Xenon Depot 6000k 9006 kit, with Phillips ballasts/bulbs. ballasts are less than an inch thick. comes complete with wiring harness w/ fuse holders. brand new, never opened. paid over $480 for them. just make me a serious offer. includes: 2 x Philips Ultinon 6000k Capsules 2 x Philips Slim Gen 4 Ballasts Complete wiring harness Complete instruction manual last is a set of MSD bosch style injectors, commonly used on FI vehicles. i have a set on my SS, but i ordered one set too many . they are 50lb/[email protected] and 57.7lb/hr@58psi. these are also brand new, set of 8. $500 shipped email me or pm me if you would like some pics. thanks for viewing!

  24. i wonder if it can handle high pressures and volumes of fuel, on high demand fuel systems. it looks restricting to me.....
