  5. 2.5 will fit, but the stock exhaust is actually 2.75. Btw Long Tube headers will give you a lot more sound. I'd buy the headers, more sound, more performance, that's a win win.

  7. Cel pisses me off too, but it ain't the end of the world lol. I only got that code twice, in 3 months. Cycle the key a few times and boom light is off. Doesn't matter anyways op got his shit tuned.
  8. Tuning the trans tc parameters will help you a lot on top end. Shift points as we'll. Awesome man.
  9. Most tuners just turn that code off, PCM doesn't conduct test to determine if a fault exist btw. So it's really not "fixed". This is why I get upset with many on this board. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying tuning isn't crucial! But if you don't know anything about tuning for a particular mod, then plz.......
  10. They were 1-3/4. And the difference between 1-3/4 vs 1-7/8 at low rpm is so small, less than 5hp, besides that's what a stall is for. This gets hashed out every other day it seems. As for the for the ragged edge comment, I doubt it. I didn't see the tune but it's hard to put a LT only motor on the "ragged edge". Calculate (airflow)VE, set AFR, and see how much timing she holds. That's the formula for horsepower.
  11. Mine went 3 months before I retuned it. Never hunted for idle, only shifted a little too early at part throttle and threw the 0757 code every now and then. Sometimes it would lock and unlock at 45mph. All in all not hard to fix if know anything about tuning these trucks. Not directing this towards you in particular, but I get tired of reading posts for guys talking about tuning, when they have NO IDEA what they are talking about. I mean if some dude across the country does your tune, then plz don't tell people what needs tuning and what doesn't. I actually had a guy on here, tell me that my truck would run worse after a header install with no retune, on a stock truck, I mean WTF. You get a cel, but I assure you, even with the stock tune, you will make more power with LTs.

  13. Why wouldn't you drive it??? Would a tune help in this case? Absolutely! Can he drive it the way it is?? SURE! That's a normal code after a installing a higher stall TC. Going off memory here on that code but I believe it has to do TCC duty cycle.

  15. There was an article in some mag a few years ago where the dyno tested a brand new LQ9 from GM. It had dynatech longtubes I believe. Any ways the engine stock, need 355hp at the fly wheel. They then added dynatech longtubes and a tune, the power output jumped to over 400hp at the fly wheel.
  16. We don't do cylinder head work..... I make turbines, complex valves for aerospace, and rock bits for drilling rigs just to name a few. The little HAAS machines you use, wouldn't even machine the material I work with on a daily basis.
  17. Guys, anybody that says " they learned cnc mills and lathes in one month" is full of shit. Guys I'm in the cnc business. Been programming and setting up multi axis machines for 10 years. We've been in business for over 60. Guys that come in sounding like this ALWAYS end up not knowing Shit. We have equipment and cad/cam packages that SAM could only dream of, the best of the best and I've been programming for 10 years...... I can still crash the heck out of a machine. Btw anybody worth their salt won't work for free..... Just food for thought guys
  18. I know this is a SSS site, but after reading this thread, I'm convinced I should take the turbos off my DMAX. Should shed some weight and pick up a little? Maybe a 10.5?
