  1. Looking to pull the trigger on these, I want/need these to bolt right in with the factory muffler. Will they?
  2. Mechanical engineer and CNC machinist. Work for a smallish production job shop. Nothing like modeling anything you can think of, and then making said part.
  3. So just to be clear, the only mods in the "blower only" vid are the blower, headers, and corsa exhaust? That thing sounds wicked. I bet I listened to it no less than 30 times. Would a tvs1900 yield similiar exhaust sound?
  4. Anybody run them? Opinions?
  5. That's a mp112? Is the TVS1900 the same thing as the mp122H. Are any of these safe for a stock motor? And do they come with everything needed for the install? Thanks, Wolf
  6. Where can one buy a mp122, for a 2003 SS?
  7. Oh yeh, a 7.3 needs a 120hp tune, just to run as well as a stock DMAX. GM always has built the best engines
  8. Lol, you guys crack me up. I love my ss, but let's get real, a halfway modded dmax ( tune, built trans, and few other odds and ends)will run low 11s all day long. I know cause I have one, currently getting a 7.1L stroker kit, with my twins and dual fuel pumps, I should be at or over 1000rwhp. Now I just gotta get my SS on up there!

    C6 vs I

    Surely not a Z06.
  10. All 06 and up LBZ duramaxes with the allison are 360 hp 650 lb/ft. 06+ is LLY is 310 hp and 605 lb/ft however dyno testing reveals that GM under rated this by around 50 hp. and LBZ both basically the same motor, 04.5-05 are LLY 310 hp 605 lbft, 01-04.5 LB7 300 hp 520 lb/ft.
  11. What do these other guys have to show for reliability? How long have they been in business? What records do they hold? "At TTS, we’ve been involved with the development and manufacturing of technologically advanced computer controls, software and exhaust system almost since Detroit installed the first on-board black box. TTS has been the innovator in developing reliable performance products for over 2 decade. From turbocharging to superior quality exhaust systems, TTS products develop more torque and horsepower. All TTS products are carefully calibrated on dyno-testing equipment as well as real world conditions to deliver optimum performance. As the originator of technology advanced engine electronics, TTS develops its products in conjunction with skilled mechanics. With years of experience in performance gasoline and diesel engines, TTS brings true “user friendly” performance that’s guaranteed to work on today’s computer controlled cars. TTS has developed the most sophisticated performance chips in the industry… dyno proven to increase horsepower, improve fuel efficiency and provide more usable torque. Automotive performance icons such as Edelbrock, B&M, Lingenfelter, and Callaway Cars, have turned to TTS to develop high-quality, effective computer chips to work in harmony with their other performance products. When leading publications, such as Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Truckin’, Turbo, and Chevy High Performance need answers or solutions for automotive computer performance, TTS has been there to guide them through the complicated maze that is today’s automotive electronics." taken from there wedsite. TTS or The Turbo Shop look them up.
  12. Do some research before you talk too much shit there buddy! Banks sells product to be reliable not to smoke and to haul heavy loads without destrying it's selfon max power. BTW your not going to get max performance out of a Banks kit unless you have the entire kit as it was tested and tuned on the dyno for max power and reliability. Who else has had a diesel truck 222mph Audi is Banks only competition at the moment with their diesel roadrace car and our diesel roadrace truck. We currently have a cummins in a truck running diesel, propane, and nitrous all at the same time making well over 900hp at the wheels and yes this is on a stock block with some work done to the head. It's still runnin! We have yet to blow up a D-max we are running 48lbs of boost in our roadrace truck which does over 160mph and runs lap times of 1.27 on a track that has a current record of 1.25. This is also on a stock D-max with mild head work and two turbos making 700hp to the rear wheels. Just wait untill we build the actual race engine with larger and even possibly two stage turbo setups on each bank of the engine. What do these other guys have to show for reliability? How long have they been in business? What records do they hold? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have and no Banks powered Dmax will touch my TTS Extreme. Go to dieselplace.com and see what all the highest performance dmax's are running, you will see that it is not banks. I challenge anybody with a six gun bundle or whatever it is to race me, they will get there ass handed to them by just my ECM tune, no exhaust intake CAC or any of the other mods that have to be there for the banks to work right
  13. Smoke isnt always there in high horsepower diesels. The tuning for the new diesels really allows you to dail in huge hp without over fueling(black smoke). I would go for it. Any diesel older than an 01 chevy duramax or and 03 dodge and ford will be on the slow side unless they have serious money in it (like more than just a tuner). In short it is the common rail diesels that are to be feared
  14. Is the radix a sc or a turbo? What can the stock trans handle? Would headers exhaust tune and intake be to much for the stock trans?
  15. Guys just word of advice coming from a diesel guy Banks is not the best. As a matter of fact they are over priced junk in the diesel world. My TTS Extreme gave me 503 RWHP and the banks(at the same price) only gave a small 410.
  16. Diesel has more energy per unit than Gas. Why would GM not put a turbo on a motor that responds so well to it?
  17. Okay guys I am knew to the site and I want to buy a used SS and start the modding process. I already own two duramax crew cab 4X4s one 01 and one 04. Now My 01 duramax has a suncoast stage five allison tranny (5K$$$) and a TTS Extreme ECM ($1295) and will run steady high 12s, my question what kind of performance can I expect from the 6.0 in the SS for this kind of money?? MY 01 has 503 RWHP and 1198 RWTQ and that is everyday power. I am not trying to start a diesel vs gas fight, I am just trying to figure out what it will take to get an SS to perform at the track like this current truck as I know nothing about gassers. Sorry for the long post thanks waid
