  1. Thanks guys. I was surprised how much it really picked up. Just leaning it out helped a bunch. Then, timing and tq management and shift rpm helped a bunch more. I'll try and get a 0-90 pull loaded so you can have direct comparison.
  2. Johnny, that's what we noticed first lol. Thing was pigass Rich, leaned her out a little and man it sounds pretty good! I need to take a better video, it was late, and I don't see well at night anymore. Thanks man!
  3. He spun. But if the roads were dry like he said that's pretty good.
  4. Before After my tuning (EFI live) tune only. Truck has 1500 miles on it. Pretty dang solid gains.
  5. I think 8.5 is pushing it for pump gas? I'm in for the info as well.
  6. Fyi, this is friendly smack talk between me and l8erbro. This isn't anything personal, I just like to get randy stirred up.?
  7. Sounds like you have a lot of experience Taking it in the Butt!! Lololololol
  8. Cry baby. Don't shoot gear in the butt, not very bright are you?
  9. I'm no computer wiz either, but I've never had a problem with EFI live on my computer( since 2005)
  10. When I drove a new truck with the 6.2 6l80, I dropped my Ss like a bad habit. My 6.2 truck runs almost as fast as my cammed SS. I do miss the looks of the SS. They are beautiful trucks.
  11. Sounds like somebody is butt hurt.
  12. Yeah, these definitely aren't for GM guys. Merc Racing is, more than likely, coming out with a small block power package with the LS(6.2). If that's true, they would be a great replacement for a twin 500hp BBC powered boat. I'd love to put a set of these on my future project truck. I'm sure these dudes will be very expensive tho.
  13. Nice truck Jason! Send me some videos when you get that bad boy!
  14. I can set up your tune. How far from huntsville are you?
  15. The other guy. There's plenty of sand around for me to pound.
  16. Lose my cool? No way. I didn't spit any nonsense. I exaggerated on the hp to boost level sure, I was just making a point about how well these things flow. That's it. You and another dude jumped my case about it. Same as the last thread when someone mentioned a 80e swap for a 475hp motor. Now that was bad advice if I've ever seen it. You can't tell me that was sound advice. I've never steered any member of this forum wrong, EVER. I try nothing but to help out folks when I can.
  17. So easy to get you butthurt. Bottom line, these are cool heads, and a step in the right direction. Stick with your ported 2 valve heads. They are the future.
  18. If it's so easy to build a reliable 1350hp motor for race boats, then why doesn't everybody do it....... Sounds like you could make some quick cash by building offshore engines. Think about it dude. Why do people, race teams, pay that much for a "1350hp motor" cause nobody else can build one that stays together.....
  19. Come on dude, can I exaggerate just a little? So it would be more like 5psi on these heads equal 12-15psi on what we have. These heads flow over 400cfm as cast. Mercury sells 1350hp motors that live in the harshest environment on earth (marine) for over 200k each and people are lined up around the block to buy them. So yea they know what they're doing. By all means plz continue to run everybody off this site. Lol, you guys are the biggest joke around. Best technical site on the interwebs. You wouldnt be able to afford it.
  20. Knowing Merc, I bet the idle quality is amazing. Imagine a turbo with those heads, turbo'd love huge valves and huge flow. 5psi on these would be like 40psi on what we have.
