  1. Where are the pics of the damage done by the deer? I wanna see the blood all over the truck. : )

Sorry to see all the bad luck you have been having with the SS. Hope this doesn't sound bad, but I found your first post in this topic to be rather funny how you start out about the first accident and waiting so long to get it back and bang, smash it again on the very day you got it back from the shop.

here's the only one that I could see the blood on... you know the adjuster actually took blood and hair samples on it...

Then I get a call from my 15 year old to pick her up from school, as she stayed until 9pm at a jazz band practice....just crusin'....not speeding...cruzin' then it happened....****ing Bambi decided attempt to leap across a 2 lane road from a abuntment of 5+ foot high elevation...doin' that Matrix thing you know? And a slight boom...not too loud,I knew I hit him because of the explosion of blood from her lower hind quarters....called the wife told her I just hit a deer...she said thats not funny and hung up!pulled into the school parking lot...got out...seen the fender buckled, walked to the front...grill smashed...my shopman bowtie...gone....my headlight hanging like the terminator...it was a silent ride home...I had my SSS back for.... 9 hours and 15 minutes....WTF!

  4. i know....but from what i understand is that both frame rails are buckled at both behind and in front of the rear wheels... both insurance companies are schedule to go out tomorrow(fri) and look at it...my nephew is a adjuster for mercury insurance and "ballparked it " for me ... new gm 1500 frame - $2800 , 30 man hours remove and replace - $3000+- ($5800.) both sides of the bed have a buckle can get a complete bed for $1800- remove + replace + paint $1200 ($8800) rear cladding + paint $600 ($9400) rear bumper, brackets, pad and paint $880 ($10280) Repair+ paint tailgate and lower cladding $725 ($11000+-) front bumper assembly and grill with prep and paint and remove and replace $ 1300 ($12300) alignment and assorted bullshit $2000 ($14300) - NADA - $21960. salvage price for the truck $9000.

deduct salvage price from NADA = $12960... the cost is less than the price to fix.. :(

it kills me...you know I am thankful that everyone is unhurt but there is a part of me that wishes the old guy driving the caddy was paying more attention to the road...with 6 kids,a house and everything that surrounds me that I share that truck was the only thing that was all mine that wasnt shared....sorry everyone for the vent...

    peace,

    rob

  5. what a way to come home from a 2 week vacation in cabo only to find out our babysitter took the ss out and got rear ended......WTF! thankfully the sitter and my 17 year old were in the SSS and not the 03 monte ss as a STS failed to use his brakes and plowed into the rearend starting a 3 car chain reaction.... the cop said that is one strong truck because there could have been at least 3 deaths...2 in my truck and the minivan in front of them... the old guy was taken away in a amblance and was cited on the spot...Ill take plenty of picts as soon as the sun comes up...

    peace,

    rob

  6. had a 1997 suburban which the trans was slippin'...(3rd trans)took it to the dealer to get a 2nd opinion(they changed the fluid) went from service to sales...walked up to a 1500 silverado looked inside seen cloth interior...said to the wife...cloth interior, she pointed at the black SSS sitting next to it and said you sould get that one we'll match( she has a 2003 monte SS - black) never told her about the 28k sticker...next morning I called the dealership and drove it home!
