  6. thats low just be glad you dont live here in PA
  7. We do have the LQ9? I was getting confussed since "ChevySSandChevy8.1" said we do have the LQ9 but then stated that the LQ9 was not available in 03. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The 03 comes with the LQ9, it is the same as the LQ4, just higher compression. I thought the LQ4 made 315 HP? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> alittle more different then that,
  8. that C6 was running 14's all day long. he didn;t really know how to drive. When i beat him my friends said the people in the stands went nuts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ,,,That is the reason I made my truck what it is today. Just something about having a ECSB AWD firewood hauler shame a purpose built sports car. Nice work,...but try not to beat up on the fellow GM guys <{POST_SNAPBACK}> he's not likely to let us catch him in the race for fastest pittburgh truck ET. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> so wheres this fastest PGH truck ET list at? im deff shooting ot be on htere
  9. youre tranny is on its way south. mine did that then eventually started to slip bad in 3rd. the LQ9 really hammerd on my 60E. within 500 miles or so it was getting bad with that motor. best bet honestly baby it to it goes or drop it now and get it built!!

    317s F/S

selling my 317 heads to replaced with 243s so i can up my CR these are complete heads make reasonable offer
  11. thats what im talking about, hell the one day i was out in the truck [before tear down again] i was just idling at a redlight and this ricer i say ricer cause he fit the stereotype. well before we got to the light he was just reving alittle louder then he had to. well we were just siting there and you can hear a nice lobe from my previous cam. i looked over and noticed the two was looking over but didnt say or do anything. when light turned green i just drove off a little quick to get up to speed and those kids just waited alittle then proceeded thru the light. i honestly thought they would of tried to run. years ago when i had my s10 i had every little punk try to race me. it was a freaking s10 but now i guess they are expecting what some outcomes are going to be lately. years ago i would of laughed if an import wanted to race now today you have imports taht are quick. now if you didnt know anybetter would you expect Ms. soccer mom to spank you with her new SRT-8 or TBSS? i sure wouldnt think she could but reallity she probably has a few 12s slips in hte glovebox
  12. it seems that alot of vehicles are being modded cause of trends. youre always going to have a intermediate chassis or pony car modded up. but for the past 6 yrs it seems that the import crowd was the hotness and its dying off some as its not so unexpecting to be a fast import. you still get some ricers out there but as of recent it seems that the swing of things are now trucks/stationwagons. you now have trucks/stationwagons dipping into 10s that are daily driven. full weight beasts that weight in over 2 tons or more[depending on application] over a decade ago they had the two from GM typhoon and sychone but today you now have the SRT-8,SRT-10,SSS,TBSS and etc. with ppl driving the SRT-8 and TBSs times have been seen in the 12s at full weight. now do you think the import scene will now die off some and the swing of modded trucks carry on as the imports did or what do you think? before you laughed when an import would want to race you and you just shook your head but that same import could of made a nice 12s pass. but now would you even think twice of racing Ms soccer mom in her station wagon and her glove box full of 12s time slips where do you stand on this new trend
  13. without the stripe it looks like your typical SSS which is kinda boring. youre stripe idea is good but is too short extend it and call it a day
  14. I was thinking about doing a slight variation of those. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like the look of the "old school" Black SS Chevelle hood stripes with the cowl hood. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats what i did for my hood but in blue
  15. my cam i just sold was close to that. it was 222/222 .566/.566 112 and it worked nice. had a strong pull but i wanted more so i went with a 232/234 .595/.598 112 on XER lobes for NA that cam listed will work wonders but your stock intake might restrict you some on the topend of that cam <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which cam is more agressive Thunder Racing 99-TR224/227-114 or comp 224/224 566/568 @ 12? If the Thunder Racing 99-TR224/227-114 isn't that much more agressive I might go with the 2nd cam. Thanks, Jeremy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 99-TR224/224-112 Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA 1700-6600 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. View Dyno Graph heres the TR cam with 112 lsa. the difference isnt much but thunder seems to be more aggressive company. and it has a dyno chart for that cam. also remember a 6.0 will eat about 2 to 4 degrees of duration. which means a 224 in a ls1 is nice but the 6.0 will tame it some. but with a 5500lb truck i would worry about lost of low end some thing like the 99-CHEATR-CAM Thunder Racing Custom "CheaTR" Camshaft - 214/230 .601/.578 117 LSA. Off Idle-6800 RPM Power Band. Broad power range. Works well with stock exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. Stock like idle. Minor tuning required on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Double valve springs and titanium retainers required for this cam. this cam would probably work best for you
  16. my cam i just sold was close to that. it was 222/222 .566/.566 112 and it worked nice. had a strong pull but i wanted more so i went with a 232/234 .595/.598 112 on XER lobes for NA that cam listed will work wonders but your stock intake might restrict you some on the topend of that cam
  17. sold, waiting on payment
  18. if i wasnt building my truck at the moment i would be interested in some of the items. best of luck
  19. well im deciding to sell my cam. i only put on 530 miles on it. ran fine and pull great. had a nice idle around 800 to 900 its a ligenfelter grind. 222/222 .566/.566 112lsa reason for selling i want this one! 99-TR230/236-112 Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 230/236 .592/.602 112 LSA 2400-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. 3200+ stall, 3.42+ gear, computer tuning required. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. $389.99 im asking 200 for it, any takers?
  20. been thinking this alot lately. i need to properly mount my bottle and i have two ideas. mount it behind my seat where it is now and be tight on space and run the blow down tube thru the cab. down fall holes in cab i dont want. or i seen ppl mount them under the bed on the inside of the bed panel behind the cab and infront of the rear wheel. this way i dontneed a blow down tube. flaws to this is i need a bottle opener and i would want to seal off it off to the enviroment. what you think

    Fuel Mileage

with my setup and no OD i got 13.5mpg. not bad crusing for 45minutes steady at 3k rpms twice a day for almost a week
  22. since motor is in truck. if the 65 is the same as 60. do this get a pry bar or similar and wedge it in the hole agains the TC/flexplate. this way when you got ot apply torque it will firmly wedge itself and prevent the motor from turning. i did this to mine when i swapped the old bolt out for the new one
