  1. that intake flows the same as the regular ls1 intake. i have one on my truck and i use it only for boost. I wouldnt waste my time or money on that. if you want any intake go with the tried and true FAST 90. I think you might benefit from the RAM JET style edlebrock style intake once that comes out
  2. on Ls1tech.com friday the 3rd at the mills is a sonic meet for some Fbodys. I might be there with the silverado [need water pump] next day others are heading to PRP
  3. so how bout those results? did it gain or lose or nothign?
  4. ditch the pcv and run 2 breathers. motor will run alot cleaner
  5. heres how mine is it works for me and im 700rwhp 4.8...with no oil in the motor i think similar setup would owrk wonders for your PackJH
  6. in the past they didnt lock their pcms
  7. 27-29 seems to be a sweet spot for the LS motors. Like i stated i seen a gain of 1hp backing it down some. with your timing and AFR it seems to look promising
  8. its not an insult, its called the internet. ppl dont know how ppl come across so they always take it as a neg response. sorry i dont put smiley faces after every reply. there are facts in there. but good luck with your decisions. im sure whatever it is youll be happy
  9. i doubt ill be asking info from you bud. your answers lie within this thread. its bascially Krambo posted and i did and you didnt read what we wrote. so before rambling off at the mouth actually read a post.
  10. "smacks the forehead" good grief charlie brown
  11. no, i ran a tahoe pcm in my truck for sometime never had an issue, ran a truck pcm in a car and never had an issue. swapped pcm's between cars never had issues. i never once experienced one of these crank relearns till i started reading about some of the nation wide tuners. im just trying to learn why these ppl are having these issues when others arent.
  12. since ive owned the software i could always compare tunes well that kinda sucks
  13. true place for cutouts are after headers and for track use only but majority of ppl dont follow that
  14. dont you find it odd that you have spend another 25 dollars after you had already paid for a tune? ive asked this question various times over the years and never got a solid answer from anyone especially "said tuners"
  15. but this is why the internet is a great place. you can have good discussions on which direction to take when doing something. theres typical think inside the box and theirs the think above and beyond the box. im not trying to argue with you Krambo and im sure youre not argung with me. We both see thing differently. I know my setup works and im sure yours works for you.
  16. every boosted motor has some blow by. N20 motors also have this. Breathers and breather systems been on race cars for decades. PCV are on daily drivers along with EVAP, EGR and other smog devices. ppl install a Inline catch can for several reasons. one of them is the stupidest thing ever. cause its a Mod to do type of thing. Also do you really think catching a portion of oil is fixing your cause? no the fact that your still seeing oil into the intake is a bad thing for a motor. a intake should only have Air in it. Nothing else, hell the intakes arent even meant to flow fuel. So now since GM has a BS way of venting the crankcase ppl are buying catchcans to help bandaid the cause. Gm since 97 has several failed attemps at venting the crankcase. The best way to vent the crank case is -10 or larger bungs on the VCs, LS6 valley cover with -6 line. connect the -6 to a T for the -10 into a breather/catch can. Intake stays clean, exhaust smells clean, no harmful oil vapors into motor, no fouled 02s, no loss of oil due to the suction for intake vaccum. Now since NA motors dont need the breather system they can run 2 breathers or if using the Ls6 link a -6 hose from the LS6 cover to the passenger VC and then run 1 breather on each VC if your NA motor is pushing oil out the breathers its wounded, If your getting tons of oil in your catchcan with a breather system then your motor is also wounded *edited* also oil being sucked into the intake then entering the combustion chambler can lead to denotation. and as we all know wipes out our motors faster then a fatkid at dodge ball
  17. never understood why ppl have to do a crank relearn. delt with software for almost 3 yrs now never had i seen a crank relearn case But, heard of bunch stories of customers from Said known tuners.
  18. i wouldnt waste my time on a larger opening intake that flows similar to the truck intake. the cost of it isnt worth the gains you get
  19. if your in highschool the kid is fibbin.... his car probably isnt even close to those numbers. its like getting th summit books and adding up all the HP with all parts you just bought. also dont waste your time on the TBSS intake
  20. from a 6spd owner's POV stick with auto for these trucks
  21. Quik

    Fuel Cooler..

its more benefical for Carb'd motors then our EFI motors. we dont nearly have the issues of vapor lock as the carb'd motors do
  22. your first chart on the histrogram is your timing chart. go drive for a few minutes with WOT bursts. stop the recording and play back where you went WOT. youll see the cells light up. this is your WOT timing. then go to editor and cross reference the two charts
  23. Race setups for decades run setups like this. its nothing new to todays world. the vapors are flushed out the motor its called pressurized. I have no issues with my breather setup, Nor will others. all my NA combos run 2 breathers on valve covers. none of them have issues. no lines going to intake to create that "so called air leak"
  24. on a boosted setup you shouldnt use PCV setup. run 2 hoses, one from each VC to a catchcan/breather. this is best setup since you wont be putting oil mist or etc back into the motor.
