  1. After driving my truck with open header's to the exhaust shop. My check engine light is on. Im sure its just from the o2's not being hooked up. Is there any way i can reset my computer? Or do I have to take it to GM. On my old truck I could just pull a fuse.
  2. I ment breslin. sorry i was thinking about somthing else
  3. Ok. so I got all the kinks worked out (new gaskets and belken bolt's). And I have to admit I am verry happy with the end result. These headers really woke this truck up. Not so much from 0-50 but from about 60-130 WOW what a difference. it almost feals like my 2wd silverado did. Thank all of you again for the help
  4. I did not use a lift. I dont think that it would have helped with the install. mainly like ben said get a small step lader for reaching all the bolt's ( or lower the truck )
  5. Hey ben, what bolts are you switching to? will they prevent having to retorque them every 6000. summit racing is only a few miles from my house so I will stop by and check out the feelpro gaskets( just to make sure the bolt patterns match) if not I will head to chevy tommorow. thanks for all the help
  6. Well i got the truck back. It seems little faster in some of the rpm range but it also seems to drop off a little from 2500 to 4000. Overall I'm not that happy but my hopes are that when i get my stroker in it will be helpfull. does any body know where i can get some good header gaskets the ones pacesetter suplied are leeking a little. any help would be greatly appreciated
  7. busted knuckles for sure. instead of taking pics of my headers i think ill take pics of my arms and hands. yeah i got them coated even though pace setter told me it was only a asthetic issue. i get the truck back in about an hour i cant wait to see the fruits of my labor. Ill repost to let you guys know
  8. I installed my pace setter long tubes on sunday. I have never been so angry doing any bolt on in my life. The 2 bolts closest to the cab are a total pain. You can only turn them about 1/10th of a turn at a time with a ratchet wrench all while being in the most uncomfertable position. this really made me appriciate lowering all my prior trcks before doing any other mods. once i got the headers putting the sparkplugs in became difficult because the pipes prevent you from getting a straight line to them. I get the truck back today from the exaust shop. I had them run 3" all the way back. I am really hoping to notice a diffrence to make it all worth it. Between the headers and the new exuast Im in to it about $1350.00.
  9. I just clamped the hose to pinch it shut. I lost hardly any fluid and was done in about ten min.
