Nice setup! I've always wanted to get a blue and silver boat to match my SS. There is just something special about an SS pulling a boat, looks better than any truck/boat combo I've seen other than a big diesel pulling a cigarette boat.

CD players suck in general, they will be a thing of the past just like tapes (etc) very soon. Even if the CD player keeps working, the CDs themselves crap out. Best advice would be do find a good deal on an aftermarket setup.

Mines just over 100K and I haven't driven it more than 100 miles in over 3 years. It's officially become my garage queen and I just add a mod and tuck it away. LOVE MY TRUCK, never selling.

Yeah me to, I'd really like to go with an FLT level 6 or 7 and hope it can take the beating so I don't have to figure out the 80e swap. In a perfect world these guys would get the 6L80 figured out with our trucks and maybe I can drop some serious cash on one of those bad boys and paddle shifters muhuhahahaha

I know this is a year old but has anyone gotten anywhere on this!?!?!?! I've been putting off building my SS for literally years and years now and the last piece of the puzzle is my trans so I'd love a six speed! Come on geniuses lets get this rolling!!! If anyone truly believes they have the ability to do it, I have an SS just waiting for you to use... it sits 99% of the year do to my job anyway so its perfect for a trial and error since I don't get to drive it. Any updates or newer info would be awesome, thanks.

Wow that is sharp, I'm diggin the wheels and the entire truck was done tastefully and with respect in my eyes. I'd ditch the steps but other than that I'd roll with it as is for sometime.

I have a set of #42s laying around from when I bumped up to 60s for my D1, I've been meaning to put them up for sale... I'll be home in 2-3 weeks and dig for them if you're interested.

I have a procharger p1 I'll sell you for pretty cheap... just the head unit, you can easily pick up the rest of the kit from procharger or piece together custom stuff. I'll be home in three weeks and we can talk about it if you're interested.

I feel bad for whoever bought it :/ They will have to replace parts sooner than expected and probably think it has to do with the truck's design rather than previous owners. Oh well, I'll just baby mine extra hard in loving memory of the ones we've lost. On the bright side, when shit breaks you get to upgrade it!!!

Those are the exact rotors I need, I've been meaning to order them some time and I'd be more than happy to just buy them from you but those exact part numbers are $550 shipped from almost any online parts place... summit, jegs, etc

I wish man... the SEMA show is always so EPIC, I wish they'd let it go one or two more days and let us "general public" folk in because I bet tons of people would love to do it and they could make lots more money. It blows my mind how packed it always looks with just media and vendors, I'm so jealous. Just do whatever you can to stay within two truck lengths then hop out and say you won because of the 11 year technology gap I personally pride myself in the fact that brand new trucks want to beat an SS to prove themselves when these trucks were designed over a decade ago! The ole SS still demands respect!!! That's why I kept it AND picked up a 2014 Sierra (old body style but thats because it's an HD with a Duramax)

I was looking in to getting a 10-11 camaro ss or an 06-07 corvette myself. I'm live just outside of Crossville, when I'm actually home anyway... I travel a lot for work. I looked on autotrader and if you don't mind driving a little bit you can find a few SSs on there.

I'd miss it to much, plus I have thousands of dollars in parts that are just begging to be put on it and I'd really like to see what I can turn it in to so you can cruise on over and help with that if ya want haha

My SS just sits in Tennessee. I would have a hard time letting it go because I'd probably be doing exactly what you're doing, jumping back on here looking for another. I'll keep an eye out for one and if you do get one we'll have to do an SS cruise around Tennessee or meet up in Nashville or somin man. Good luck!

I feel like you should be our third person for the radiator cover! WICKEDOWESIX if this goes through will the radiator cover have the awesome looking Silverado SS on top like yours does? Can you do a fuse box cover like your pictures as well? Thanks
