  1. ybor city comes to mind in tampa....o-town has a lot to do but you can have some fun for a while in tampa. Theres another place..city walk or bay walk....something like that.
  2. Unique is not always good, if your having some concerns about em now, 6 months down the line you might hate them. I am no brake expert put the "bite" might be less because slotted are through the rotor, and spaced evenly, even though the bowtie is on the pad path...I dunno doesnt seem like it would work. I say sitck with what works. You have been making your rides "clean" I say opt for nice slotted corss drilled for the new wheels.
  3. Sarasota is NOT Miami I'll tell you that. I guess your kinda close to Orlando and tampa. Plenty of stuff to do in that area, but the gulf coast really isnt the "party" side of Fla. Im sure you could find some stuff to do, just dont know the area too well. Edit: Poop, where you living now?
  4. Sweet I aint got no cash for mods, but Ill bring a case of beer and hang out. We can polish the trucks!
  5. you are correct. The problems with solar panels is the start up cost. Every year they are getting more and more efficient and they just made some that are hurricane resistant! (BIG PLUS). You can also use solar tubes to heat your water. There are several ways to become energy sufficient and cut your costs. Wind, solar, water turbine, geothermal and nuclear. All with negatives and all expensive. But with rising costs on energy its closing the gap. We got some engineers here so hopefully they can chime in, I know a little about the subject.
  6. Yeah in grade school they only graze on it and mention the war cry remember the alamo
  7. ...... Steers and queers Steve....steers and queers....
  8. Careful guys....Seafoam and catalytic converters do not like each other.
  9. All recent Sierra Denali's came with 4.10's but the Sierra C3 did not.
  10. Many guys have used it, I have it however there are much better places to get it.
  11. Let me throw my idea on the ring. For one, you cant believe anything you read on the net, to publish a book (even a conspiracy book) you have editors, publishers etc. In the net you can say whatever you want so you have to take everything with a grain of salt. Now on controlling weather, from taking meteorology courses and reading declassified information I do know for a fact that the United States military has been trying to do this for years. Although the US has also tried to do very hair brain ideas (most notably the "gay" bomb that forces homosexual tendencies among those affected. On to the science of this it is VERY difficult to do anything on a meso-scale of weather manipulation. . If the government was doing anything now a days it probably to stop storms, which there are some ways but they have pretty much failed. Throwing an oil slick in the way of a hurricane to prevent conductive heating. Nuking it, that sort of thing. On a pure economic basis the government would try to stop storms and not create. EDIT: I forgot to add cloud seeding, something that is routine. But we are still learning a LOT about storms and in recent years we have been able to learn total composition and about droplet formation etc. Cloud seeding is common but control of a storm or creation is where i was pointing at.

  16. Although I am sure this is a repost somewhere around here, might as well bring it back. http://media.gm.com/events/sema/c001025m.htm FOR RELEASE: October 25, 2000 CONTACT: Chevrolet Communications PHONE: 1-800-CHEVY MI or 313-667-9317 SILVERADO SS – THE CORVETTE OF TRUCKS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LAS VEGAS - High-performance vehicles such as the Chevrolet Corvette are revered for their awesome power and precision handling. Pickup trucks such as Silverado, on the other hand, are admired for their ability to carry both passengers and cargo efficiently and dependably on any road surface or off-road. Combining the best aspects of both vehicles, Chevrolet introduces the Silverado SS – The Corvette of Trucks – at this year’s SEMA show, the latest iteration of the original SS show truck. "The first SS Silverado created an awareness and understanding of the performance limits of a pickup—this SS takes it to the next level," said John C. Farris Jr., Chevy Silverado assistant brand manager-marketing. This four-passenger, four-door pickup is powered by a 6.6-liter, overhead valve (OHV) aluminum LS1 V8 engine that produces 480 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 475 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a short-throw, six-speed, rear-mounted manual transmission – the same transmission found in Corvette models. Helping to hit that unique Corvette exhaust note are ceramic-coated, stainless steel, tubular, four-into-one headers with 1 ¾-inch primaries and 3-inch collectors. Dual 3-inch exhaust system, dual 3-inch inlet and dual 3-inch outlet muffler and aluminum exhaust tips complete the exhaust system. Any performance vehicle must also reward the driver with precise "ride on rails" handling, and Silverado SS is no exception. It features four-wheel independent short- and long-arm (SLA) suspension and adjustable front and rear air ride suspension that allows the driver to vary the ride height to best suit the situation – lower for highway cruising or higher for greater clearance. Power rack-and-pinion steering ensures precise steering and four-wheel disc brakes featuring 14-inch rotors, six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear provide sure, safe stops. Antilock brakes are also standard on this vehicle. Inside, Silverado SS rewards driver and passengers with a number of features that even make Corvette owners envious, beginning with the ability to share SS performance and handling attributes with more passengers. Four bucket seats with carbon fiber inserts create a comfortable and luxurious environment. A blue electroluminescent instrument cluster lends a "floating" appearance to the speedometer, tachometer, engine temperature and oil pressure gauges. A new in-dash information screen, meanwhile, provides suspension and performance information. Four-point, cam-lock safety harnesses enhance passenger safety and a Corvette steering wheel with a custom logo reinforces the SS’s connection to the American icon. Seen from the exterior, it’s clearly evident that the redder-than-red SS is no ordinary Silverado; its performance cues are evident from any angle. Up front, SS features a molded front fascia with integrated brake-cooling ducts, a new front grille with integrated Chevy Bow Tie and projector beam headlamp assemblies. The domed hood is made of a carbon fiber material and the cowl has been raised 2.5 inches, creating a flowing appearance. The composite front fenders with integrated wheel flares accentuate the performance element of this vehicle and house the nickel-plated wheels (20" front, 22" rear) and custom Goodyear tires. Integrated rocker panels on the lower bodyside further accent the Silverado SS’s "ready to pounce" appearance. Also unique to the Silverado SS is the integration of the cab and pickup box. Gone is the normal space between those two body parts. The smooth molded one-piece appearance is refined, dramatic, and an instant classic. 17. pretty ignorant to not toy with the possibility. Some people still dont think its possible, but if they had a bit of an understanding they would probably agree. But some people still deny even thinking that evolution is a possibility.
  18. woah that red interior screams 80's
  19. interesting.....although I am not a true believer. Im not sold on the "cancer wont form" part...dont really see how it can stop free radical growth.... Kinda reminds me of people who eat shark because "they dont get cancer" (which in fact they are so heavily poisoned with mercury its deadly) Although I can see many benefits to drinking pure water, again I have seen both good and bad on Ionizing... is it reverse ionized or positive?
  20. i say go for it, get the marauder bumpers, get some nice 18's or 19's. you plannin on using this in training?
  21. Dude thats a great deal....they look exactly like the covercraft....even the same names. Keep me posted as I would need a cover when I travel and during tropical storms/hurricanes.
  22. Thank god that thing isnt produced
