I have never heard of notching the crossmember,is there a kit for it? How much are the upper control arms on their own?

Tony, do the Djm upper control arms change camber/caster for better handling or are they factory replacements? . Also I am at the lowest setting in the rear but my driveshaft hits the cross member before the rearend, has anyone else had this problem?

The smell could be coming from an axle seal leaking. The caliper can be frozen also and wear only one of the pads.I would pull the wheels and look at the brakes and seals.

My lifted trucks never had tie rod issues so I doubt I r s the wheels like the shop says.

I agree with doing a complere front end rebuild and tire balance, I would have personally thought the rims would have held up better and not have to have been replaced but I could only assume.I hope you get it worked out cheap.
