  3. I've got it. It's my second one, had one in my vette and liked it so much the SS has one now. Don't have navi and still looking for an xm tuner. I pretty much just watch music videos on it via ipod.

  5. I was in the same boat a few years ago, after having my H/C/Radix VHO for about 2.5 years I started looking for something else. I ended up trading it in on an 05 machine silver z51 C6. It was a nice change. I kept it for a little over a year traded it in on an 07 4x4 Ltz tahoe, which I really liked but got bored with, so after a year and a half or so I traded it in on a 06 SS. So I pretty much went full circle now I'm back to building H/C/blower set up. I'd say do what makes you happy. Lifes short.

  11. Thanks. I ended up finding the info on pt.net. I've got front and rear brackets already, just curious about the stock wheels. Rear brackets will be for sale soon if anyones interested.
  12. I've been searching but haven't found an answer yet, are there any fitment issues with stock SS 20's with the z06 brake upgrade?
  13. Totally agree with you Krambo but eventually the 243 will hold you back, it's definitely a budget friendly head. If you don't already have a set though you're probably looking at 400 to find some then anywhere from 700 to 1300 to port depending where you send them. 1700 is getting close to some heads that we all know produce bigger numbers then the 243. I myself couldn't justify it for my purpose right now.
  14. For what p&p costs I would pick up some L92's and you'd be able to use them on your stroker. I don't think a ported 317 or 243 would work well on a 402/408. I was recently quoted 750 to p&p my 243's but I'm building a 408 right now so it would just be money wasted. I'm sure in 6 months I would have trouble getting what I put into the heads back out. For 30rwhp not sure that it's worth it.
  15. TX-SS had his stockers powdercoated. See if you can find a pic, his was silver birch too. It's a good looking color combo.
  16. I'll probably be doing the same with the single 3". I've got a cut out but still in the air on what muffler. Thinking maybe magnaflow, but I'm interested in the borla xr-1 and had slp lm1 on my vette. Really liked so it's tough to decide.
  17. I've been wondering how much better a dual disk clutch would hold up in a truck vs. the single disk.

    Ls6 Manifold

    I'm debating throwing one on my new truck Saturday when I pick it up. I've got all the stuff but not sure if it would be worth it. Probably going to run the tsp 233/239 113lsa and I've got some 243's to get compression up.
  21. I wouldn't guess more than 7-10 rwhp. I sure it would have a lot better throttle response though.
  22. I'd look more into milling .030 vs porting. The guys on ls1gto have had a lot of success with this.
  23. Have you looked into pulley alignment?
