  1. GM may have 6l90's in new trucks, but I know for a fact the 4l80e will be used until 09 in hds and some 1500's. The pcs company's trans controller, if I remember correctly, came out at about the same time as TCI and a few other companies. They all look alot alike. HMM Hopefully they will have a hot mode in the new controllers.
  2. How much is the service/exchange if we don't win? The previous owner of my truck hacked the t/b pretty bad. Thanks
  3. It's going to cost more than a full out 65e. Harness, adapters, driveshafts, yoke, cross member, new converter, swapping cooler lines and programming if needed.
  4. I'll be there trying to sell my truck. It's not an ss though.
  5. SCT, Diablo, and a couple others are all in within about 200 miles of orlando. They have some experience but you'll have to buy a handheld.
  6. Yes it's an an option. It just became avaliable. Fram filter media (reusable like k &N) will be an option soon. Fram ran out of media for the time being.
  7. Zippy's He takes the best from both and puts em together.
  8. It's an excellent unit, it works with efilive and tunercat. It makes getting a large cam a breeze w/o using bidirectional controls. Saves a ton of dyno time. Great 1k investment.
  9. Pat is a great guy! He has been there and done that. As metioned above, the gm software will be out very soon. Chrysler will follow. He has worked for almost all the big companies and has trained alot of the early Ford programmers that are leaders in todays market. The software now s supports the new flash ecms in the new body style mustangs Focus, Lightnings, Cobra's, Jags, GT's. You can acutually reflash many vehicles with one device with the licences. For obd2 stuff, there are no chips, no permanently mounted boxes, or single vehicle interfaces. Their "custom software" allows control of 100's of parameters via delta force or for the novice you can use the special forces and click radio buttons and drop down menu's to choose the octane level/idle rpm/etc. for your application. ** This is comparable to sct's software @ $700+ Per ecm for individuals and diablo cmr software for pro shops only) I think, in the near future, this will be a force to be reckoned with.
  10. Expect about a year to 2 years. That's what I've been told. CAN bus is really putting a damper on this. My guess Kurt @ w2w. will probably be the first to do this. The 6l80e's internal tcm will be challenging. I pray it's not a bosch controller.
  11. Zippy will take care of you. Just concentrate on the tree.
  12. A reputable tuner and dyno tune will outperform 99.9% of the handheld tuners and mail order ecms. Mail order ecm will be your second best choice. We all have our preference as to who is best. Zippy has the ss market down pat.
  13. Mid year is the projected release of the hp tuners/superchips dodgeand ford software. We will see though. I installed a superchip flashpac on an 05 4wd 5.7 hemi. It was great for a handheld. It drops cruise control after 1700-1800 rpm. I think everyone is having a difficult time with the dodge code.
  14. 40-50 is the usual cost on an B&M. If I remember correctly.
  15. It's an excellent deal, but add about 3k for a tranny. I know as I've had them. The engines are less than ideal, but overall they are awesome. Get ready to pay corvette prices for most of the parts. Good luck!
