bill, this unit can be installed to you truck as soon as you receive it... it is only locked out if i have the diablo tune in my truck and then try to tune your truck..... ok,,,,, i have the tuner, lets say we put it in your truck, the programmer stores your "FACTORY TUNE" inside and will not let you program you best friends sss, WITHOUT, FIRST RESTORING THE FACTORY TUNE TO YOUR TRUCK THEN TUNING HIS..... so basically the tuner can tune many trucks but the custom tune can only stay in one truck at a time....... call me tim 1-304-415-1761

claim is 35hp, but i never dynoed...i had mine installed for over a year and a half and when i took it off it ran like a turd... i deff could tell a differance... if you are interested in buying i will even go so far as to help you adjust you shift points and firmness over the phone... i really liked this tuner alot and plan on getting one for my gto....
