    I drove the truck and it drives like new. I don't know anything about the audio and neither does the owner(it was her husbands truck) but it comes with what you see. It has an aftermarket exhaust, I'm not sure which one, but it sounds pretty nice with not a lot of drone. The hood has some dents on it from black walnuts dropping on it but it looks like a paintless dent remover could get rid of them.

     

    They are asking 24,000 OBO.

    The truck has a clear one owner title and its paid off so everything is ready to go.

  2. The mod team is doing what we can, which there really isn't much we can do....but we're trying. Lets try to end it here.

     

     

    Have you ever been to Texas? I hog hunt down there every year, matter of fact leaving in about 25 days, but that's got to be one of the hardest places to live. Hot as hell in summer and every piece of vegetation down there has 3" long thorns on it and seems to want to kill you...lol

  3. A lot of guys have run a lot of hp on basically stock 80s that they got out of junk yard. Memory serves Ray ran like 750+ to the wheels of his supersub through a mildly rebuilt 80. Give Ray a call, he might be able to set you up or at least give you a direction to go based on his experience. I believe he also sells/installs the blowers, and he can work with you on your fuel system and not spend money that isn't needed. He may just be a one stop shop for you if your willing to drive and spend some time in a hotel. I know KS to MN is a little drive but Ray is one of two or three guys I would trust with my truck.

    IMO your brakes are fine, worst case do the hydro boost upgrade. other then that your spending a lot of money on shinny parts you don't need, but that's just me

    I like the n/a stock long block. Shadow sniper don't you have a low 12 second pass that'll fall under that class?

    Put me down for a 14.2 pass lol but I'm too lazy to code the performance parts, if only we could just name the parts. I just hate having too see a members 1/4 time and then see the numbers and letters and have to scroll down to see what 22c means.

    Anyways I'm hoping to see how fast in the 13's/12's I can go with stock the longblock in 2014, waiting for the local track to open up here.

     

    The 12.4 pass you see is my fastest and although stock cubes its not stock long block(heads and cam). I think if we listed our mods by using words like "zippy tune", the fast truck list would be 3 pages long.

Lol its a torquer v3 cam edelbrock victor jr plumbed with a fogger system.... everything is studed .. stock crank.. h beam rods ... cncd afr heads but milled the face to look stock... havnt decided on rocker arms yet could use some help with that... every bolt is 12 point stainless arp ... i hope it runs as good as it will look lol ill have some nore pics up tomorrow for yall

    Should be a rever with that cam and intake. What compression did you end up having with the new pistons? 4-6cc relief? That intake should look killer, ive been wanting to do mine in black, but I thinking something of thermo barrier. You won't have to worry that with nitrous flowing through her.

     

     

     

  6. Thats a hell of a point reynaldo, but are you playing Devils advocate or do you think scavenging is over rated? If the cam has the proper overlap im thinking our motor will always benift from scavenging(and I guess provided the overlap doesn't bleed the motor dry of compression, so dcr being about 8.9), just by pulling the mixture through its intake valve. I believe this can be proved or seen by having to adjust the injector end timing and watching your wideband get richer by moving up the end point(injecting sooner), and putting less raw gas in the header primary on the top or overlap of the intake stroke.

  7. If you run it that high with that big of a converter, you should invest in some of those l92 heads you love so much and some bigger headers and id be willing to bet you would have 11's in the bag easy... but what do i know right... :fart:
