  1. The bw4481 is a horrible tcase. I put one in my SS years ago and took it out within a week. You will get horrible front wheel spin with it since it is basically an open diff.

Go to www.car-part.com to find a used one or buy a rebuilt off ebay for about $1000-1100 shipped. Many rebuilders list them as a NP149 since new process bought new venture gear.

Don't our transfer cases take Dexron-III (or superceeded ATF) spec in owners manual? I don't rememebr seeing AT2 superceding this in spec anywhere?

GM at some point actually switched to filling the tcases with Auto Trak II themselves. Many people reported the blue fluid on the first oil change. There are plenty of threads on here of people running the Auto Trak II and saying it runs just as good if not better than the DexIII

I've seen a video installing the tru-max cooler with your kit and it looks great. Nice job!

I know this post is older, but I was hoping you may have a kit?

    I still sell them: http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/member-made-tools-parts-classifieds-197/tru-cool-max-trans-cooler-4739-47391-install-kit-brackets-fittings-hardware-508374/

Is this the one I need for a 2005 Yukon Denali to convert to a 4L80 4wd trans using stock awd case?

The 2005 Yukon Denali came with a Borg Warner case. It's a terrible case and does not handle big power. It acts like an open diff and will send all the power to the front wheels when you launch and you will have zero traction.

You can swap a NVG149 right in with my gear and get rid of that junk.  The NVG149 splits the power like a locker, 38% to the front and 62% to the rear.

Canada isn't a problem. Just a little bit extra for shipping.
