  1. I have General 305/50/20's with no rubbing, but they seem to stick out of the wheelwell more than I seem to recall with the stock tires.

    A/c Woes

My a/c blows hot air on occassion, and it seems to happen only when I play a CD. Anyone else encounter this?
  3. I just bought General Grabber 305/50/20's today. I haven't driven it much, but so far-so good.
  4. Has anyone tried Performance Friction's Silent Ceramic pads? They're supposed to produce less dust and be quieter also.
  5. I like my B&B system. Easy system to install at home. One thing I did was cut off the rolled edge on the tips. It creates unnecessary turbulence and backpressure, and may have caused excess heat on mine that resulted in a little bit of plastic on the bottom of my bumper cover to melt. JCC
  6. I'm not running Nitrous or SC, but here is what I did. JCC
  7. I was also thinking of 305/50/20 size. They will fit the rim OK, but not sure if they will rub or not. That size of General Grabber UHP tire lists section width of 12.4 inches, vs stock Gooodyear 275/55/20 section width of 11.1 inches, so I was wondering if they would rub on the inside when you turned the wheel to full lock position. Regarding overall diameter, the 305/50/20 is only 0.2 inches taller.
  8. The air/fuel meter is from Innovate Motorsports. I bought it before AutoMeter came out with their a/f gauge. I painted the bezel Victory Red, to get some contrast and color in the cab. The rest of the inside is drab with all the gray/black. The Prodigy unit that I have does not care what angle it is mounted at. I have pulled a car trailer a number of times with no issues.
  9. I made a gauge panel and inserted into the dash. I didn't really use those storage areas. What do you think?
  10. It is time for new tires after 30,000 miles with a couple of rotations. Has anyone used General Grabber UHP? I have heard that they may be noisy. I am thinking of plus-sizing to 295/50, instead of stock size 275/55. The overall diameter is about the same (only 0.1 inch difference). Has anyone experienced any tire rub with the plus size? JCC
  11. My 2004 SSS has about 17,000 miles. Since new under normal driving conditions, it seemed to wind out in 2nd gear, and then slide quickly through 3rd and into 4th gear. I installed a Transgo shift kit and Corvette servos, which helped, but probably the 3-4 clutches were already damaged. It started to slip lately, so I took it to dealer, where they confirmed that the 3-4 clutch pack was burnt, and they replaced under warranty. On the service ticket, they referenced document ID # 1847492. Does anyone know what this document says? They also replaced the input housing and piston, and reprogrammed my original PCM Code 10AEE. What does that mean?
