  1. Not now but I would love to own a 69 Camaro SS and a Chevelle SS. I've looked for several older(80's model) Monte Carlo SS. Loved those cars growing up. Maybe when I retire I cna own those bad boys.
  2. ain't it funny how women take the same path when they rip your guts out lol. I went through the "I'm moving out tonight" thing also.
  3. thats a lot to go through. I'd take one of those depression test and see if you need help. I did when I went through my divorce and to my surprise I was depressed. It's taken me 2 years to get over my divorce but it does get better. You need to get out of the house. Go out with friends, hit the gym and do things. The more you sit around, the more you think about things. It's fine to talk to your friends about it but don't live in the past. What's done is done. You need to move on. It might take awhile to date again but you will move and things will get better.
  4. Not safe to ride a bike anymore. Too many aholes on their phones. Doubt I'll ever own a street bike. Like I said technology has made people some damn stupid. They think they can listen to a cd, watch a dvd and txt all at the same time. They kill someone and get a year or two in jail if that. just not worth the risk.
  5. I'd call and ask them if they will take it. I'm pretty sure on my GM supplier discount web page, it said it was up to the dealer. Also call and get the GM price. when I went to look at my SS, I called and they gave me the GM supplier discount price over the phone. With that being said they wanted to move the truck so bad they skipped the GM paper work and worked out a deal with me for the same price without doing the paper work for the GM supplier discount. If they want to move it, they will give you a better price.
  6. Told my buddy about the truck and he's interested. We're local to you in Lexington, KY. You can PM your contact info. I think he'd like to take a look at it.
  7. Heck of a deal for a low miler. Too bad I couldn't find deals like this when I bought my regular silverado.
  8. Do you tow a lot? The SS can tow a bit but if you tow a lot of weight, then a Dmax would be useful. If you don't tow a lot of weight then I'd stay away from a Dmax unless that's just something you really want to own. With gas all crazy, I might look into a normal gas engine. The SS requires 91+ octane. Let us know more about what you would use the truck for.
  9. sorry to hear about your truck. Glad everyone is ok.
  10. For that price you should be able to find a low mile C5 or higher mile C5Z06. I only paid $21,500 for my C5Z06. Better deals out there but I had to have blue. Now if you really need the extra seats, then a CTS-V is better than the GTO. Can be fast and they look good doing it. Sweet cars for sure. I'd probably just buy an older Camaro SS or WS6. Both with the LS1 can be pretty fast and get good MPG. Plus you could get a decent one for way less than $18K. Spend less and mod or just put the extra cash in the bank for parties and whores lol
  11. these trucks run any where from mid 14's to high 15's stock. Did you put any 1/4 miles runs on her before the mods? Did you let her cool down before running her? Heat will kill your times plus it take many mods to get low 14's on most SS's. I had all those mods and more befoe I got low 14's.
  12. The goverment isn't the one making billions per qtr lol. Pure greed has taken over the world now more than ever.
  13. Nice car. That was my plan but then the Jeep I bough was giving me trouble so I traded it in on a C5Z06.
  14. Did it sale at a dealership? Most peope go to them thinking they can get a deal or if they need to trade-in something they are upside down on. Rice Eater: if for some reason you still have her next year, I might be in the market.
  15. There'sa few SS's in KY. I don't have mine but the local car/truck group around Lexington, KY has a few. A good KY forum is kyhorsepower.com. Lots of fast cars and good people on there. they have a "shootout" twice a year at Clay City race track. Just a good get together at a track. It's a day for only foum members as we rent out the track and race.
  16. All the flooding of the Mississippi river has put US refinieries in danager of having to shut down. some have reduced production already which is pure BS. Same thing for the price going up just based off hurricane predictions. So much BS is built into the price of gas the goverment needs to do something. Back in 2007-08 it took $140 oil to see gas avg $4, now it just takes $103!! LOAD OF SHIT!
  17. Gas moved up to $4.05 in Lexington, KY. First time I've seen regular go for over $4 a gallon since 2008 wow. Funny how gas goes up as oil had it's largest single day drop since 2008. We're $10 cheaper than this years high of $113 but in KY we've reached our yearly highest prices since 2008. Funny how it took $140 oil to put gas at $4 in 2007-2008 but we did it this year with only $104 oil. That math don't add up at all!!
  18. Hard to tell in this market. Normally I'd say $16k+. Check out KBB and NADA web site to get a better estimate. If it's paid for and you're buying another vehicle, I'd see what a dealer will give you. Most likely it won't be more than you can sell it for unless they have a vehicle they really want to move. when I bought my SS I traded in a leased truck 3 years old and they paid it off and gave me $4K on top of that to put toward the SS. It was a left over 2003 and they really wanted to move it.
  19. I thought about dropping a 6.2l and new 6 speed trans into my 2000 silverado but changed my mind quick when I saw prices on that stuff. There is one guy that did the switch in an older 90's model silverado. I still can't decide if I want to mod this truck to make it show worthy/track monster. It takes a $hit load of cash to make ECSB fast(mid 12 sec.) and look good.
  20. Was anything insured and can you get any money back that way chase? If not I'd probably lost it because your money paid is gone and your parts are trashed so that's a double loss for you. Hope you get this resolved. As a business owner I've had to deal with damaged items during shipping and I always stepped up and made things right even if it was at a loss to me.
  21. I doubt I could have been so kind if this happened to me. I'm sorry for Chris's lost and I understand things can go wrong, but those returned parts look bad. Hopefully he'll step up and make things right. Many people on here are friends and stuff but when money is exchanged it's about business. I hope all gets resolved and both parties can move past this experience.
  22. looks like it has the wire TB on the older 2000 models trucks like the silverado I have now. To make it work with a newer TB I think you have to buy a new J-tube and that could cost a bit of $$$. I think if you get it from Magnacharger you're looking at $250+. For some reason I want to say closer to $400 for the J-tube. I emailed them last year about the parts needed to make a newer unit work on my wire TB and it wasn't cheap IMO. But if you can get the unit for less than $2500, you still get a good deal.
  23. I'll watch it. Usually lots of hotties in these movies and what other movie is about cars?
  24. Heck of a price. If it was for sale last year I would have bought it. I had to pay $11K for my 2000 with 86K miles. Dealers make $$$ on selling used trucks. Their prices stay up and they sell pretty fast. free bump for you
