The first photo I have seen numerous times throughout the year. This has got to be one of the most poweful photos ever taken. It pulls at so many emotions we have, all at the same time. Everytime I do see it, It gives me that "Haughting Feeling" throughout my body. You know that tingly feeling that makes you proud that your an American!!! OK ... You got me there.... I know plenty about LAPD (my Buddy from High School is one), but yes, I am from a more "Civilized" land I guess. I'm from a smaller town. We have a small affluent college, Williams College. I deal with rich, little drunk asses all the time. (You know the type where Mommy and Daddy will buy them a BMW, so they won't have to hug them). So my tolorance for this type of stuff is quite high. I know/heard/learned alot about the LAPD. It is just unfortunate that they are that way, even in writing a citation like that... .... On a different not, I may be in LA on July 22nd, for a Wedding. If I can make it, we should meet up for a beer and do some "Jay-Walking" .... I'll spot you the first $114.00......

Trust me ... When they say "Self Described" she is packing a whole lot of PRIDE ... It will come up 99% of the time. Personally, I can count all the "Minority Families" in my town on one hand. Even when you stop them for a major infraction (ie: Stoplight Violaiton) they always try and throw out the race card. If not Streetside, mostlikely in court. As for the second part... Like I said, we don't know the whole story here... Yes, You state "Improperly Cross Streets", Ok, she may have taken a little too long to cross. Yes I understand that she is older, but, This is coming from her and her view alone.... There could be another avenue that patrolman saw, but she is just claiming being too slow. (Just not enough information to make a clear decision) ... When I personally read an article like this I always put in the BS Factor. Things get so twisted by the time it goes to print ... Trust me, I give press releases to our local media on arrests/accidents/major incedents, and they alway "Add" their own touch to it. Heck, I've been quoted when I never even stated anything other than a description of the incedent. Also, I don't care who you are in this world ... You would not write a Older Person a $114.00 ticket, unless something else took place. (Well, most of us) I personally don't know how the State of California operates Legally, but they surely must have a box on the citation marked "Warning"??? I have a nice Propane grill for everyday use. I do break out an old charchoal grill if I want to do a nice slow cooked Brisket!!!!!! For all of you Propane guys (and Gals too) out there, I Got one of these for Christmas .... It is really great!!!! A see through Propane Tank!!!!! Ok.... I'm not going to try to step on any toes here, but here is general breakdown of what happened, that the story doesn't tell the reader. Now we all have heard of the saying "SH#$ Rolls Downhill." This is a prime case of this. What many of the general public doesn't understand, is that many orders come from high up in the "Chain of Command", and trickle their way down. So, Like the Sergeant said, there has been an increase in pedestrian accidents. So, I guarentee you that a the City Council started to complain. This goes to the Chief, down to Deputy chiefs, Majors, Captains, Lieutenants, Sergeants and finally landing at the feet of the Patrolman. The Patrolman has the unfortunate task now of enforcing this complaint. (You, as a citizen mostly deal with patrolman, not directly with the chief) While reading the article, I noticed that is stated a "Coyle described herself as a Cherokee Medicine Woman".... You know now, that she is more likely that not, going to use the "Race Card" to her favor, and morelikely than not, claim racial profiling on this. I understand that something else could have been done, other than issue a $114.00 ticket (Maybe a written warning). But hey, Just remember, You and I were not there. This story is based mostly off of one complaint, one sided. It may seem rediculous, but the Patrolman was just doing his job. Also, I know that we who work in Law Enforcement are in the "Sh#$ Eating Business", but honestly, how much Sh#$ do we have to eat, before enough is enough?? Obviously by this story, the patrolman ate about $114.00 worth... So, as the saying goes.... "There are three sides to every story 1 - Your Side 2 - My Side and 3 - The Truth"

Hey all, Well the other day was a fun day!!! As you will see, we had a small break in a Town Waterline, in the front yard. It made a little bit of a mess out of the front yard. We had to dig down to see where the water was coming from. Unfortenately for us, the Dogs had a field-day with it. BTW, It was a long night of Doggie Baths afterwards.... Yes, Little McKenzie is a light golden normally.... Ha Ha Ha Shuan

Did both of mine Electronically at the end of January..... Filed and got my refund automatically deposited all within a 5 day turn-around ... If you haven't done it before, try it. I've done it for the past few years now. NO problems to speak of..... Turbo-Tax Online ... It's the same price as buying it at a store and installing it.

My town is on the Vermont border.... I fuel my truck up there. No Ethanol in the fuel, or that additive that Mass. requires to lower emissions.... Better fuel, for cheaper price.....

I try to be an Optimist, but unfortunetly ... Pessimist is prevailing.... All I can say is, Become a cop, and all of you "Optimists" will more than likely change your mind!!! I use to really like, and even say "Trust" people... Boy has that changed over the years.....

Watched last season, and this season too... It's a good show. They are F#$%#@$% Nuts for doing what they do. If I was younger, I may have said yeah to doing it for a season or two. But now that I am older, Hell No...
