depends on alot of variables. just go to a professional installer and ask to see or hear some of the customers cars. shoot I have 4 8 inch subs and it rocks!!!

tell me more about what you have. nav piece? speakers now? amps? things like that. also what interface did you use? I will see what I can do.

call me ignorant to the whole roll pan thing. Will this look like the one on your truck? of is that one custom? I do like the look but I also tow quite a a bit. what would I have to do for my hitch? Thanks in advance!

I can't wait to see them either. If I do the powder coat thing, I'll be having the Chevy emblem painted in the same color, and probably repaint the grills to perfectly match too. I also will be matching the side exit exhaust tips with high temp powder coat in the same color... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am totally picturing the look you are going for. where are you doing the powder coating? email me and let me know. I have a hook up on the north side of DM. cheep if you are willing to let him do it in his spare time. also I wanna get with you when you do the TQ convertor. I will be more than willing to help. also we should get together soon. I can do it at my house if need be. But I still have no kitchen. still remodeling. that just means BBQ and beer!!!!!!

I would then be worried about them subs slapping the floor. just my $.02 just a guess.. I dont think the subs will fit in that box. they may but they coule be to deep. as for speaker wire. its cheep and easy. do it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What about a 3/4" spacer ring for the subs? blue with white stripe wire out of the pioneer deck goes to the blue wire in your new harness. this will turn on the factory amp. there you go. hope this helps

I will answer this for you. electronics aren't "forced" amperage. they take what they need. In this case the amps take the current they need to run effectively. think of it as a faucet in your house. the water is always on tap, but nothing comes out until you turn it on. really the only thing that could "fry" the electical components in a vehicle is too much voltage, then again with this set up that Joe is selling, it is variable to 16 volts. most cars can take around 15 or so. Also it looks to me that this is a dual output design so you can tweek your amps to see more voltage thus getting more power out of them while still keeping you car running at 14.4Volts. Just my insight on mobile electronics. But who am I?

sorry I have not answered your PM. hook that red wire up to 12volts in your truck. that should fix your problem. i am outta town and I have very limited access to the internet. I will check back with you and see if this solved your problem.

yes it can be done, there is one problem, you will only have the range of your factory keyless, which is about 50 feet if you are lucky. imo I would ante up for an aftermarket piece and get up to 6000 feet of range and possible 2 way communication with your truck. If you still wanna stick with your factory remote, any reputable install shop can hook you up. let us know what you decide to do

green with white stripe. its either in the radio harness or the instrament cluster harness. either one will have it. just put Alpine nav in my SS and I love it!

the only advantage that the PAC piece gives you is a direct plug, it is also better to get the signal right behind the factory radio. I wish I knew how to post pics of my system. you would be stunned the amount of gear and the intergration I have done to this thing

I know its NOT a Motorola, but I use the LG 98001 I absolutley love it.I had the Motorola 710 and then went to the 815 and hated both of them. dropped calls all the time, would shut itself off all the time. My brother is using the 815 now and it changes ring tones by itself. And mark my words. within a few years, the cell phone will replace the Ipod. just a gut feeling, I mean I have a 2 Gig card for my phone, why would I wanna buy an Ipod? sure they hold more music, but not for long, just wait and see...

Please again read my above post. Been doing this for a few years. 15 to be exact and Gm has yet to change their speaker wires in the cars that they actually build. Meegs? I would have never thought to do what you are asking but I dont think it would work anyway. IF you really wanna know what is positve and what is Negative on a speaker here is an easy way. Unplug the speaker and cut the wires. take a battery small 9volt works well and put the positive of that battery to one side and the neg to the other. and if the speaker moves out then you have the polarity. if the speaker pulls in then it is backwords. hope this helps.

FM Mods SUCK! aux inputs are he best way to go. I have them if you want one PM me and I will get you a price.

there are plenty of manufacturers out there that sell things called amplifiers! by 1 or 2 and just dont tell her! plus it will sounds ALOT cleaner!
