Your quite welcome Jim. It was fun wrenching for the day. Even though like you said, I was getting a little frustrated toward the end of the day. We pulled through and got it done though. It only seems like Jim and I were working in them pictures.

Does it have a Twin barrel carb? I have ran into this problem a lot with the larger els style Briggs engines and the problem ends up being a piece or dirt in one of the idle circuits of the carb. Those engines are also known for leaking intakes. Some of them are plastic and are two pieces molded together. They leak at the Seam.

Update.... Detroit speed will be there this year with there autocross cars giving rides and the GM test drive is back!

Weather is looking nice! I guess I'll dust the ss off and bring her up. My brother in law is also bringing his Camaro.

Why do you care Doug, your not comming this year anyway? They only had judging there the last few years. I have been going there ever since I was little and it has always been participant judging before they made that change. I don't care about the judging. I go to meet up with my friends and shoot the bull, and I know other members will back me up on that.

Butch, you are more then welcome to come and shoot mine if you want to try a couple different ones out. I carry a s&w .380 and also have larger guns. My wife actually prefers to shoot my glock .45

A cam only swap will be very easy. if everything goes smooth, that truck will be running by lunchtime! Get yourself a cam install kit. Then you'll have all the gaskets, seals and new balancer bolt in one kit.

11th sound good to me. What cam are you installing? Are you doing pushrods, springs, retainers?

I will not be attending cruise week this year due to another vacation I have planned in june. Jim, I am free them 3 dates but maybe you want to plan on one of the first 2 so more people can make it?

I have been doing alot of work to my duramax lately. Built trans, tc, turbo, custom efi live tuning, etc. I have had my sss in the 11's and my dmax will walk all over it up to about 70mph. Diesels are nothing to joke about. Imo, working on gas engines is boring now. Lol
