Big O

Thanks, I wish we had more time to get off the beaten path a little bit more, but it was all about the 3 year old and photography took a back seat. Thanks, and it was AWESOME. Tried to get the kid to come home early and he wouldn't, stayed for every second we could. Yes, the scenery makes it very easy to make good pictures. There is so much to see and do my head is still spinning. Pulled a camper 7 hours to get there and another 7 back but it was worth every second. Thanks. Canon Rebel XT with some good glass. Rented a 100-400 canon zoom to help reach the wildlife and used a 17-40 for a lot of the landscape work. The wife got to shoot the wildlife (I drove) and I got stuck with landscape (except the elk, she let me play on that one), oh well I had a blast watching her and the boy marvel at all Yellowstone had to offer, it was AMAZING Rainbow and cabin on the pond were both hers as well.

Here are a few pictures we grabbed while exposing the boy to Yellowstone. Had an amazing time, first night got within about 10 feet of the black bear and had a blast exploring. Only drove 30 miles and took us 6 hours due to the exploring and letting the little guy pursue whatever he wanted.

Vacations? who gets those anymore

wow ... that is awesome ... what a great picture to have in your possession! You should probably get it digitized also incase something should happen to it. I can't imagine what kind of feelings were going through your body when you opened that card

Dont forget the $ doesn't end with the initial purchase ... if you think your truck mod habit is expensive ... photography will trump that rather quickly.

Just using the Canon 5d ... nothing special Thanks for all the compliments guys ... my brother wanted to get a decent pic of his bike and his buddies ... just worked out good that night. The other was my boys favorite firework, a lady bug ... basically spun around on the ground then shot up in the sky with sparks everywhere. THe moon had a nice cloudy surround to help also.
