  2. Thanks Chris..

    You are correct.

From the factory you have 110-135 amps of alternator. On a given day of driving you are probably only using 60-70 of those amps.

From here you turn on your seat heater and take 15ams more, then the passenger turns there seat heater on and take 15 more.

Then you turn on the rear defrost and take another 15amps and then radio takes another 15amps. All of a sudden you are using the entire output of the alternator. Then you turn on the headlights.. at this point you are using more than than the alternator can offer and you are drawing from the battery. (this is not good)

A high output alternator keeps your batteries from being drained during high use.

Keeps headlights from dimming during heavy use, (aftermarket stereo)

Mine just has more bells and whistles on it than most (adjustability and such)

    Thanks again Chris!

  3. Well Frank at Revolution would have helped me with all of that work, but it really came down to wanting a new project as well as consolidating my garage down to just 1 car again.

Another big reason is that i have been approved for Lasik eye surgury and needed some cash to get that done. I have not been able to see with out thick glasses since the 3rd grade and I am an "exellent canidate"

  4. Hey guys.

I sold my truck to a stealer ship last week and it will probably make it on to the market in the form of Auction to another dealer.

    it is a

    2003 Black Silverado SS

    VIN 2GCEK19N631346860

ODO has just under 40k miles

    Don't buy this truck..

    Issues.

    Hole in Bed, blow through

    Rear Seat latch is broken

    Hole in rear seat.

Rust and water damage under carpet by rear seat (I guess blow through had leak)

Trans was slipping on way to dealership

Bose stereo has no rear speakers and no sub

brakes are on there last leg, need replacing

Front grill clips are shot and grill rattles at highway speed

Rear doors a have been cut to pieces under "new" door skins

    Exaust rattle and leak

Stay away from it, I gave it to the stealership for a reason!!

    9AM

is 2 weeks off and we wanted to see every one come out to Route 66 Raceway for a test and tune day. I believe that doors open at 9 am and check in starts at 9:30 or 10am. For 35$ you can make as many runs as time permits, (usually 2 an hour unless it is really packed) Plus they have an off shoot area to practice launches and what not between runs.

Then afterwards heading over to the local Hooters Establishment for food, Drink and BS.

IF you have questions post them up or PM me. Ill keep everyone posted on weather and track conditions via this post come day of event.

    Some things to remember...

If you run faster than a 13.99 you need a helmet ( I will bring 2)

You need Pants if you are driving, No shorts allowed (Had this happen)

Bring a Cooler for drinks, (no alcohol) Food stand is expensive.

Show up early, you will get more runs in early than later.

if sunny bring suntan lotion, there is no shade at this track.

all welcome, run what ya brung.
