  1. A two bar map sensor will read two bars of pressure. In an engine the first bar is usually negative or vacuum. Psi is a positive unit of measure not negative hense why vac/boost gauges don't read negative psi for vacuum. InHg is known unit for negative pressure, I.e. vacuum. 1 bar= 14.7 psi=29.5 inhg. So a 2 bar map sensor can read up to 29.5 inhg in vacuum and 14.7 psi in boost. Or if you want to talk absolute terms. 200 kpa, where 0-100 is vacuum, 100-200kps is boost. 2. You are mistaking psi with inhg. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  3. Yes and yes. It came of off my 2004. And a 2 bar sensor reads 14.7psi of vacuum and 14.7 of positive boost in kpa terms it reads 205 kpa Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  4. Bump Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  5. Can we get more info on this. What ecm/tcm did you use. Is the gauge cluster still functional? Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  6. Yes you will be fine to drive until you get your tune sorted out. If you have a good set up tune you shouldn't need much tuning afterwards. The loss in restriction of your new intake will be picked up and taken care of by the MAF sensor Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  7. I have a used gm 2 bar map sensor from a cobalt ss. Plug and play minus the tuning. 35$ shipped to the lower 48 Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk

There is also the patc planetaries that have a gear ratio of 2.97. However they are pricy at 1100$ just for the gear set. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  9. Not to mention that the hd hood and grill is common to all silverados, but the 03-05 is ss specific. The other trucks grill is different. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  10. The only gen 4 ecm that supports serial data is the e67, that with the t42 and you MIGHT be able to retain the gauge cluster functions as long as the bcm can be programmed as if it was a trailblazer ss. And that's a big MAYBE. if you go e38ecm you will have to piggy back an ls1 pcm in order to maintain your gauge cluster. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  11. Bfg kdw 2 very sticky and has a thread wear of 200. Anything less than that is a drag radial stock ls2 are about 400iirc Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  12. Looked to me like the passenger front tire was spinning. Remember the front diff is an open diff, power isn't going to be going to both wheels all the time. Azfastesss burn out was done the same way. No one seemed to give him a hard time for doing it. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  13. There are a few red flags here, the AWD >>> 2wd switch can be done but that requires a transfer case swap. 1000cc injectors are way over kill for an N/A 408. Unless you plan on fi latter down the road. Here is where things get sketchy. A 408 can make 550hp provided the cam and compression is there. And very doable with those heads. However, if compression is low to take advantage of the 1000cc injectors, I doubt that that 408 will make that power. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  14. If you have xm, there is a smaller 12 pin connector on the back of the head unit. You can go to radio shack and Buy a solder on 3.5mm audio Jack. It will have 5 pins to solder 5 leads to it. You can use that to add your aux input and all you have to do is set your radio to xm. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  15. Maybe this need a little clarification. From the description. This is not a how to tune class, but more of a how to use the software and what the functions of it are. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  16. Correction. They have a 2" taller frame that raises the body 2". Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  17. Pin 33 on the opposite pcm connector. And the pcm needs to be tuned for the fans Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  18. No they are not the same. The ls1 are much smaller and will leave a larger exposed radiator surface area. They work good on the 28" radiator. But leave room on our 34" radiator Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  19. This^^^^ not to mention that procharger also uses the BOV as a bypass valve when off boost to bypass the supercharger and allow the engine to see vacuum Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  20. We have roller lifters. Nothing to break in like the old school flat tapet cams Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  21. If your truck doesn't start after a flash, it could mean something went wrong. Provided it is your tune that is going in and not say a different tune that was opened at the same time. In which case the pcm might be in a dead pole state. Try doing a full flash (efilive) or a write entire (hptuners) and when that is complete try restarting the truck. Hope this helps Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  22. You need to connect the autocal to your truck, then the pc, start the software, the connect the software to the truck... Then go to validate pids. The software will communicate with the onboard modules and validate the pids that are available. If after doing that they still don't show up, then they never where supported on the ls1 pcm Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  23. There are a few countries that have rhd Tahoe and Suburbans. Finding parts shouldn't be to difficult Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  24. Stock rocker arm ratio is 1.7 Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
  25. For all of you who have removed the screen, did you guys see a bebefit? Better yet what was the purpose of doing so, has anybody put a vacuum gauge before and after the MAF to see what the pressure difference is? Or have you guys seen vacuum in the intake manifold at wot? The sole purpose of the sensor is to precisely monitor air intake by the engine. Why mess with it when it's such a crucial sensor. I've been looking for the log of a descreened MAF to show what happens to the readings, but I can't find it. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
