  1. Didn't you buy the 282 flexalites?
  2. Do they offer any type of y-pipe(I know,I know we don't have a y-pipe)that connects the pace setters to your exhaust? or is custom fab. the only way?
  3. Backorder should be a four letter word. I don't think I've ever said it in a positive manner! BACKORDER!!!! @!#%!!!
  4. Can you hook this up to your laptop for logging?
  5. Is yours still for sale? Can you hook it up to your laptop for logging?
  6. If you retard the timing to a truck that already has the timing advanced do you need to retard 2 degrees for each 50 hp + the amount of advance in the truck already or just the 2 degrees per 50 regardless?
  7. I got my spare pcm from my tuner for 100 bucks,IMO it was money well spent. I try to have him program the spare before I do my mods then its ready right away.
  8. this is the artist rendering of the 2009 trans am-IF THEY BUILD IT ,I WILL COME!!!(to the dealership to buy one!!)
  9. I have the same hood, got it from stylin concepts.
  10. I have a 2004 L.E. yamaha yfz 450,88 suzuki quadzilla LT500,and two honda 400EX's01-03. I might thin out the pack a little and buy a yamaha rhino side by side. Only problem is between work and wrenching on my car and truck I don't get much time to ride.
  11. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not just jewelry-DIAMONDS-They will smooth out a rough situation better than a clay bar and zaino!!!
  12. I had a friend who had a syclone and had trouble with wheelspin,he said he cured it by going with a stiffer rear spring and rear airbags. he would pump up the pressure in the bags when he went to the track to keep weight transfer to a minimum, letting all four wheels get closer to equal traction by keeping the fronts from lifting so much. I was going to try this if I had a traction problem but I'm not quite there yet.
  13. Thanks for the part #,I have a friend who works at the J.C. whitney warehouse and he can get me his discount on them if I have the part # so thanks a lot!!
  14. Does anyone have the part # for the pace setter headers? I was on their site and I couldn't find it.
  15. I removed my cats by taking off the pipes and knocking them out with a piece of steel rod and a hammer ,you'll actually need two steel rods-one straight and one you can bend to get in the drivers side cat that is in after the bend. To my suprise I didn't throw any codes but I had them tuned out anyway. I think it cost me about $7.58 for the steel rods at a local hardware store.
  16. My tuner sent me 4 different pcm's until I was happy(most will),if he won't then find someone else.
  17. Not really. The kits are made to be done that way, or I should say they know you aren't removing it and tailor the directions more toward that route. Drain the fluid, drop the pan, and then walk away and have lunch. It will still be dripping, but "could" be reduced. I'm convinced that damn thing would drip for at least 24hrs. I put a couple of old towels under mine. Finding a pan big enough was not in the cards for me. Wear an old shirt and you could wear a hat or head cover of some type. Just be careful to not get in your eyes. You will have that red crap all over you though by time you end. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How long did it take you to do the installation? I will remember to use my BenKey time conversion chart(experience+special tools-my ignorance, divided by 5 =)
  18. Okay, so I wasn't specific. I use a 3/8" hi-speed impact wrench on the 10mm bolts for removal. A minute and a half, tops, for the 14 or 16 bolts. I have a metal fuel line tool. You'd be surprised how much the flimsy white plastic ones will take you to the 30secs it will with the metal one. In fact, I fought about 10min once trying to use the plastic one. After the fuel lines and bolts are done, what else is there that takes any time? My harness no longer attaches to my intake, so maybe that speeds it up some. I will bet you a paycheck I can have it off in 8 minutes. I was being generous with 10. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Aaahhh, I see no wiring harness! I was being cautious since it was my first time, and I figured I could do it in 30 minutes my second time. I can see how with no plastic covers, wiring harness, and special tools it could be done in 10 minutes or 8 by a pro! I guess I will have to officially take back my
  19. Well I just finished mt tbtc install and everything went well! I used all the advice from this thread and it helped out big time. I removed the intake, starter, trans. dipstick which made it a lot easier to get to the bolts for the trans and flywheel.I needed 7 quarts of tranny fluid to top it off but I think it was mostly because of the angle I had the trans at when I lowered it out with the transfer case still on,lots of fluid spillage! I'm happy with the converter,it seems to stall at around 3000 rpm,but my engine hits the rev limit right as it shifts(making it shift slower almost like a manual shift)but I already sent my spare pcm for a reprogram for the tbtc juct have to wait until it comes in. Thanks for all the help!!!
  20. 10 MINUTES?!?! You must work for a nascar pit crew Ben! It took me all of an hour and I didn't even get a break!

  24. Is that going to be a pain to do if the tranny is back in the truck?
