  1. Chris you know I am down, just let me know when you are coming around again! I will probably pay for Levi's to get done too!
  2. Wow,I would love to do this but it is a hell of a drive for me,and a long trailer ride back if I break it!
  3. I have been thinking about this lately since I will be installing my driveshafts this weekend. I have a buddy who can pretty much machine anything I want in our shop at work,I will see what we can come up with.
  4. NO,it may not show as much boost on the gauge but it will not lose any power. If the path the air has to travel has less restriction it will show less boost, but less restriction = more power,so you can pulley down and show the same amount of boost you once had but will have much more power now!! Get it?
  5. I bought an 09 cobalt ss for the wife when they came out with the new turbo setup, and surprisingly the thing flat out hauls from a roll, all the way to 160(I know from experience!!!) The brakes are insane also! So don't feel bad, some of those cars modded will run in the 11's!
  6. I will take one in black/red,send me payment info and I will send it right away!
  7. Nice times,so where he you been dynoing your truck at? is it an AWD dyno? With zippy being in Vegas I am going to have T.J. at Baker engineering do my E85 high boost tune on his dyno, but not until the fall.
  8. What size are the chambers on these heads? For compression curiosity.I am not very famiiar with them.Looks like they flow like crazy!!
  9. If you need zippy's phone number I can pm it to you, sometimes he is hard to get a hold of!
  10. When my truck had the same setup as you and zippy tuning (through the mail) mine went 12.99 on the first pass,he eventually logged a bunch and did some face to face tuning and we got it down in the low 12's with that setup!! I believe it is in the tuning, even at your elevation that seup should be good for mid twelve's! and I was on a TBTC which stalled around 2700-2800.
  11. Sorry,I thougt they were one in the same, like I said not bashing,I just have no faith in the 65e anymore.
  12. this is also the trans 56chevywagon had in his before going with an 80e,not knocking it or it'sbuilder, just food for thought.a 65e is only so strong (not very!)
  13. I use zaino but I am willing to give adams a try..........Dylan why can't you be closer, your detail work is amazing!!!!
  14. Just do the 80e! less headaches! If I could go back and do it all again I would have done it before my first procharger and not have blown 3 4l65's apart, and I had my tranny built before the blower install. i have heard that an 4l80e is good for 600hp at the wheels with only a shift kit and I have seen some who have run in the 9's (rcsb) with one set up the same. My FULLY built 4l65 wouldn't hold 600whp for more than 1000 miles. The cost will end up about the same for the swap or a built 4l65,all the guys I know with 4l80' have no regrets,I can't say the same for all the guys know who had level 3,4,5,7 4l60's!!!!
  15. Make sure it is not the turned down output shaft,as it will snap!!!! and then you will be having more tranny issue's,make sure it is the adapter that adapts the 4l80 output shaft into the transfer case adapter which is modified to fit the 4l80 shaft, not the cut down shaft sized to fit into the 4l65 size input. It will be weak link in a bulletproof tranny if they do it that way!
  16. cory if no one else that has already spoken up wants it I might take it of your hands,I already have amps and my seat is already lifted. I am sure we could meet somewhere on rt.80.
  17. Congrats dozer,I've been waiting to see some #'s on this setup and it didn't dissapoint!!! I'm sure you ill get a 10 second slip in better air with more traction
  18. Wow,this is a blast from the past!!!!
  19. Do the 4l80e,even with just a shift kit it is way stronger than a fully built 4l60e,I broke too many 60's and I'm doing my rossler 4L80 swap now,I've heard too many bad things about the 60's and to many good about te 80's to advise any differently. If I could do it all over again I would do the 80 swap right off the bat, before anything else.If you get serious about it there is a great how to on PT.net with ALL the info you need!! Also he documented all part #'s and cost and I believe he spent right at $3700 to do it,and his truck runs mid !11's herea a link:http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/showthread.php?t=424904
  20. You will need a custom driveshaft with a bastard joint to connect to the 10 bolt,or change the yoke in the rear to go with a regular joint, but either way the stock 4x4 shaft won't work, even though the trucks look the same the 2500hd's have a different wheelbase ,,I am doing a 4l80 swap on mine now.Is yours awd or 2wd,since I am refering to the awd info,2wd might be different.since your asking about changing the yoke I assume you have a 10 bolt and not the 14 in the 2wd's
  21. I can't believe they let you back on here!!!! your such an A-hole and your very presence on this site offends me!!!! You.....and all your monochromatic ways should go to the wayside!!!!! Toolbag! I'll see you on the 23rd!!
  22. Good to see some new supporting vendors on here!!!! I've always had very good luck with zippy and so have all of my local friends,he's tuned all of our Turbo/supercharged/stroker/head-cam combo vehicles with no complaints EVER!!!! Too bad you stole him from us,HAHAHAHA!!!! I am sure I will be bringing my business your way before long!!!
  23. If you are interesed,I have a 2004 yamaha YFZ450LE,there were very few of the Limited Editions made this year,I bought it new and have riddin it very little,it is in very good shape and I will be looking to sell it soon, probably for around $3000,if you are interested I can email you some pics,I love it and hate t see it go but I don't ride near enough since I moved into town.
  24. Holy sh*tballs !!!I take a break from here for a while and you move.I've been out of the loop I guess, good luck out there chris!!!
  25. Haven't been doing anything online lately, lost My grandfather and one of my best friends in seperate accidents in the last month,so I've been with family and friends and trying to get everything taken care of for them that I can, everything has been on hold.At least work is picking back up so hopefully I will have both of my projects done in the near future, but it seems I'm going from plenty of time and no money to money and no time!
