    he did have a aftmarket turbo, intercooler , and injectors

    this is a pretty good determing factor of how allitude affects time (4500 ft)

  4. Its been going on for a couple weeks now. When i take a left turn ill get a squealing noise that sounds like its coming from the front left its not real loud but kind of faint, just gets really annoying at times when im driving in town. Im confused and dont even know where to look or what to check. And if im parked and i turn my wheels lock to lock it doesnt make any noise, just when im driving.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    mine does it too!

    i think it might be the boots on the cv joints

    let me know waht you find out

  5. I like the comparison but it is not fair, the shft kit and Torque converter are very important for getting good times, on the dyno it does not matter, but real world the times would have been very different if the trans stuff was done first, cause I almost ran your whipple times STOCK! I know your air sucks that high but the whippple guys should see this and be pissed!

    most stalls can get you about .5 second so could drop the whipple time down to make it more fair

    but i still would stick with the vortech

  6. Well this might help if you are deciding to go with a whipple or vortech

    Much better next i'll hit the nitrous after i get the meth injection installed i was seeing some knock the whole run

    And remember it was at 4500 ft elevation and 75'f

    i'll post video of me smoking a Subaru STI with a bigger turbo and exhuast as soon as i get it emailed to me

    I love the vortech i would have it over my whipple any day it has more low end torque and doesn't fall on it's face before it shifts oh and also it's intercooler i could always feel the power loss the more i drove it and the warm it got.

  8. I figured you all might want to check out the dyno charts of our latest creation.

    This is a 2007 Corvette Z-51 with the Z-06 rear fenders & wheels, Lingenfelter hood & chin spoiler.

    This vehicle makes 335 Rear wheel horsepower in stock form. (400 HP at the crankshaft)

    It has a dual stage boost controller that allows the driver to instantly switch between the "Low boost" setting of 7 pounds, to the "High boost" setting of 10 pounds.

    On "Low boost" this car made 499 Rear wheel Horsepower.

    On "High boost" it made 605 Rear wheel Horsepower.

    This was done on an otherwise stock vehicle with the stock 6.0L engine.

    By way of comparison, the new Z-06 Corvette 427 ci (7.0L) makes 440 Rear wheel horsepower. (505 HP at the crankshaft)

    Even with the 14" wide tires this monster would consistently loose traction and spin the rear tires at over 70 MPH when the traction control was turned off.

    Enjoy the pictures...

  9. No boost gauge, trans seems to be shifting really good still since I basically had it rebuilt (in November) after my TB TC blew up. I was thinking one possibility is I haven't cleaned the air filter in quite a while and maybe it's starving a little for air.

    On a side note, I park in the garage and there is a ton of black sooty droplets that are being spit out the tailpipes (as evidenced by the wall behind my truck.) This has been happening probably since last summer though. I know that sounds like rich but it sure doesn't smell like it's running very rich. I gotta find a nice day here soon (those have been hard to come by lately) once I get my headers installed to run some logs and see what exactly is going on with this thing.

    if it has been running a little rich it could of melted the cats and plugged up causing restrction is one possilbilty

    but you would get a check engine light

    or simple as the air filter as you said

  10. It seems, especially in the last week that when I get on it real hard from a 5-20 mph my SC just whinds up harder than ever but my truck doesn't seem to be going hardly anywhere. (At least not the same as it used to be.) When I do this, it also seems to bog down into second more also. Not quite sure why it's doing this. Any suggestions?

    do you have a boost guage on it?

    is the boost higher or lower now?

    lower =possible belt slip or knock

    higher = plugged cats

    same =trans

    that would be my guess
