  1. I have a 03 SS and it has developed a problem. It drives straight and smooth but when I hit a bump or a rough patch in the road the steering wheel shakes violently. So much so that I have to hit the brakes to slow down and stop it from jerking back and forth. The truck has Belltech spindles and drop springs as well as drop shocks. It has been lowered for 5 years and I have replaced the front diff as well as both CV axles in the past. It has nothing to do with the steering shaft or wheel weights. I am leaning towards ball joints? It does seem to be coming more from the LH side than the right. Do the pitman arms go bad as well? Truck has 130K miles and both inner tie rods have been replaced as well.

    Dave,

Damn, long time since you've been around cheers.gif

Check both the pitman arm and idler arms. I have seen where both needed replaced with as little as 60K miles

  2. Who would have thought a 1st time rookie would win? :dunno: I really thought Newman was going to pull it off or Kurt Busch until the last couple laps. At least 4 of my 5 drivers finished. Crazy race.

Yup, plate racing you need a lot of luck and a big push biggrinjester.gif. Unfortunately, 4 of my drivers blow'd up or commenced to wreckin' peelout.gif

  3. I'm in ~ should be plenty of drama today and Sunday. It automatically put my roster from another group in? What if I want different drivers? SOL?

You may have transferred your account info to our group. Might have to use 2 log ins. Try changing the drivers and see if it will let you and check the other roster and see if it changes it too. I'm guessing you already have an ESPN fantasy account dunno.gif

EDIT: It shows you're in Goin' Green & SilveradoSS.com. Try and edit one and see if it changes the other thumb.gif

  4. We use to be into NASCAR so much. Still have season tickets to Talladega BUT unfortunately my father in law was killed last year in a Nascar crash at his home track in LA. We use to go see him race all across the South and he was 1st in points and was passing for the lead, was wrecked and hit the wall head on.

    RIP Donald Goodman

    You will be missed

Sorry for your loss. Unfortunate accident that sounds similar to Dale Sr's 10 years ago.

Best to you and your family.

  5. It's that time of year again. Nascar Fantasy League

This game challenges you to build a roster of five stock car drivers to compete each week. The amount of points a driver can earn for your entry is based on the Sprint Cup points they earn in each race. Best of all, it's FREE to play.

    February 20, 2011 roster locks @ 1:00 P.M.

    11 days until Daytona

  6. We've had lots of weather as of late, freezing rain, sleet, snow. We got another 5 inches last night and this morning although the forecast was only 1-2 inches. The sleet and ice earlier in the week amounted to 4-6 inches depending where you lived

So I get out plowing the 5 inches of new snow and some of the ice from earlier in the week is now coming up, so it's beating the shiite out of me and the truck. I'm piling snow/ice taller than the truck. It's taking longer to do as I'm trying to get as much of the ice up as I can since nothing but salt would work on the ice from earlier in the week.

All in all you do what needs to be done.

So I end up at my boss's house and he being the frugal individual he is, nothing but 5 inches of snow and 4 inches of ice underneath. I back drag from the garage doors and get stuck. I can't go forward because of all the snow I just jammed between the plow and the truck and it won't move backwards because of same said snow and I'm on nothing but ice. So now I start digging all the snow out from under the truck from the plow to transfer case. Still won't budge. Boss has no salt, sand, cat litter anything I can throw under the tires to get a little bit of traction, plus I'm on an incline and sunk into the ice trying to get unstuck.

What to do now? I'm frustrated and tired. Call my wife and let her know I'm stuck and I need the SSS.

She sends my youngest son to come rescue me. Hook the front of the plow truck to the back of the SSS and up the incline with the SSS in the deep snow and boom I'm out. I wish I would of gotten pics it was great watching the SSS at work. My boss wasn't aware it was AWD.

So I finished up the plowing and tomorrow I'll remount the plow light that broke from its mount as we are supposed to get another 2 inches tonight.

Just thought I would share my fun with the overpriced underpowered pig of a truck we all love biggrinjester.gif

Now to enjoy some ice cold beers and soak these tired old bones thumb.gifcheers.gif
