  1. very cool. I have a 30" deepV electric with twins, that I plan to repower with a Homelite weedeater motor. I think I can shed enough weight so that it's not much more then the electric set up and it will be better distributed. I'm hoping for mid 30's out of it...considerably faster then the electrics even with upgraded batteries, special shafts, and octura props ever was.
  2. only 1450sq ft for $399k? no wonder folks out there are getting "interest only" mortgages!
  3. There have been a few folks at DenaliTrucks that are in that area and were interested in finding a AWD dyno. I will check.
  4. Bills run quicker with his now sold '03 Sierra Denali with bolt ons and spray. 12 something as I recall.
  5. I think the 4.10's have as much to do with the shitty mileage as the AWD does. My C3 has the LQ4 and AWD, but with 3.73's... and can get 20+mpg at 55-60 and 18+ at 70mph with the A/C on. If it had 4.10's I'd bet it wouldn't do nearly that well.
  6. looks like some "funscaping" going on to me!
  7. the Sierra Denali in the pic is one of our members at DenaliTrucks.com.
  8. here's a few of me kneeboarding back in the early 90's. This was at the SkiTrek (a cable water ski park) in League City (or Dickinson), TX before it became a place for high end homes. I was in a competition and my dad was there with a fancy camera and got these shots, though I am missing the first one and the last one. I was being pulled at 30mph and with the good cut would guess I hit the ramp at near 40. After the launch and in mid flight: coming in for the landing: and the bounce: an aerial 360: and carving for a bouy: I will say that IMHO you're better off on the wakeboard. I enjoyed kneeboards from '83 to '93 (23-33yrs old) or so and won't blame it all on it... but have to say it riding them had something to do with at least one of the 3 spinal surgeries I've had in the last 4 years. When you hit the water from a jump the compression goes straight up your spine... unlike a wakeboard where you legs take the shock.
  9. Wild Turkey and when I'm splurging Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit.
  10. no disrespect but... 500 yds with OPEN sights? R U kidding? Has he got eagle eyes? I mean even 300 yds with open sites is hard to fathom. A human at 300 yards appears like what? maybe 1/4" tall?

don't need no stinking autobahn......just hit a west TX highway at 4am
  12. or could be a sensor going bad?
  13. with a 2.87 rear axle ratio maybe the Charger will put down the triple digit numbers the Crown Vic is incapable of. Regardless, while the Carbon looks quite functional and has been made to protect its occupants, it would not even keep up with yesterdays performance cars much less today's. Even a truck could outrun it.
  14. I suppose thats a matter of opinion. Not to say that there's anything wrong with the 1st gen cars (and I would prefer a '67 over a '68), but personally I've always been a 2nd gen f-body fan. Sure I'd love to have a '70 RS/SS, a '73 RS/Z28 or even a '74 TypeLT/Z28...but I've also been a fan of the plastic bumper cars and of those...1978 is the only year with the old style wrap around dash (which I prefer). Plus with the '70-'74 cars skyrocketing in price lately...I'm guessing the later 2nd gen's aren't far behind. Doesn't matter though as I didn't buy it to resale.
  15. thanks! I also have an '04 Yukon SLT that the wife drives and with me loosing 2/3rds of my income on long term (and maybe permanent) disability... I have to reduce debt...and payments! She prefers the Yukon and since she's working and I'm not...there you have it. Though there is a part of me that would like to swap with her for the day and wholesale the Yukon to keep the C3...though I know it would get me cut off for a while (plus I don't have the thousands to pay it off after buying the Z/28). Actually I have to admit the Yukon is a better "primary" family vehicle and I'll still be able to have fun, with the new '78 Z/28 (and no payments ). Some day if I'm lucky I'll have another C3, or a newer replacement.
  16. Thanks again all. I'll have to get busy on the burn out pics. right now I have it in the garage on stands so that I can check out the brakes and everything underneath....and take inventory on what I want/need to buy. I already know I will be replacing the springs and shocks front and rear.
  17. oh...and forgot to mention....if it sells through SSS.com ...I'll throw in a ticket on American Airlines to fly in to D/FW (cont. US only) and pick it up. That way the buyer can get familiar with the truck on the way home, while riding in the luxury of a Denali interior!
  18. sure! but I have to warn you its nothing to look at. all stock LM1 350/4V with the Quadrajet (except its missing the tube & inlet of the air cleaner) and its dirty!
