  2. Yeah true... wish I lived closer to work.. haha. Driving from Thousand Oaks to Venice every day will pile those miles on.
  3. I just dropped the price of mine.. registered in Cali until Oct of next year and just passed smog to sell it a week or two ago. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...mp;?do=findComment&comment=663320
  4. Yeah I can do that... Let me get you the specs of the cover and a price.
  5. Typically doesn't the insurance company own the recovered car if it's been stripped and recovered? That is.. if they pay out money and total it? Bad aSS Silvy had his black ss recovered stripped about a month ago...
  6. Yeah.. it's on CL too but I "thought" I'd get extra exposure on Autotrader. Boy was I wrong.
  7. Anyone have experience selling on Autotrader? I posted this 2 weeks ago and it took almost 5 days to get the ad up, 3 days to get the ad correct and 1 day of my life was wasted dealing with them. They have to have the worst customer service ever....
  8. Yup.. just paid mine... $475... even more annoying was I paid my Prius registration at the same time... $350! Lame.
  9. Update... Just paid the new registration and got the smog check cert.... all ready to go to a nice home :-) I hate to sell this truck but starting a new family is expensive so I only ask she goes to a good home. You can call Scott at 805-338-2662 if you're interested... please leave a message if I don't answer and I'll get back to you asap. The interior is in amazing condition, the exterior has a some dings and scratches. . Thanks! Scott
  10. Hey guys.. thanks for the kind words! I'm super depressed about giving up the SSS but I'd be so happy to know it went to someone here that knows what they're doing. Like I told Aaron the other day.. not some kid who's going to put it through a wall next week. Again.. THANKS Alan for that housing... you rock! :-) Oh.. and the B&B is the true dual rear exit... sounds amazing with the TOG headers.
  11. Just saw this and thought it was funny. Forgive me if it's already been posted.
  12. hey no worries man.... I know it's a lot of money to have up in the air. We could always use an escrow site to make sure it all goes down proper. If you can't sell it let me know.... Thanks!!
  13. just checking to see if this has sold or is still available... please do keep me in mind if payments become an option :-)
  14. Man thats a really good deal. I'm in the middle of building a house or I'd buy it right now. Haha.. if you get to the point where you'd consider payments of like $200 a month or something let me know ;-)
  15. I was on my way home last week merging onto the 118 from the 405 and just when I got into the fast lane a brand new Jag got right on my ass. He came from no where and still Im not sure what type it was.. it was some kind of 4 door sedan looking thing. Anyhow, I was really trying to not race and just have a nice drive home so I let him start passing me and gave him about a car length before I gave into my nature and floored it. There was no traffic and from about 80-100 he had gotten another car length on me but from 100-120 I was pulling him in. That's when he started to slow down and PUT ON HIS BLINKERS like he won! Grrrr. I was pretty mad so I pulled up next to him and we both hit it at the same time from another 80 roll.... I walked away and by the time I shut it down I'd put at least 8 -10 lengths on him.... not to mention I had the needle buried so who knows how fast I was going. I can tell you it was the fastest I'd gone in the ss to date. I put my blinkers on and the guy ended up being pretty cool. He pulled up next to me with a huge smile and a thumbs up. I rolled down my window and he yelled, "#@$# man, that's a @#$@ing fast truck!" Needless to say, I drove home with a smile on my face :-)
  16. I agree.. it's amazing that the SSS drives the way it does when you know it weighs 5200 pounds. I think that's what makes it even better... beating these guys in a huge truck. I love the SSS!!
  17. So we were heading down to County Line Beach on the PCH for the 4th and had some fun. I was just cruising along around 60 when I see this srt4 neon cutting through traffic. I don't really care when people do this but he was being a jerk about it , cutting people off and riding them. On top of that he kept popping his damn BOV and damn it I hate when ricers do that crap. Anyhow, I let him fly past me but then he pulls in front of me and slows down to 40! He just sits there.. pissing me off. :-) Now, I though these things were pretty quick.. and I'm sure they are so I never thought I'd be able to pass him. There was a car just ahead in the slow lane so I didn't have much room. Long story short I pulled into the slow lane and let er' fly.... I heard him drop a gear and blow his valve so he was trying for sure.... but I just walked right by him while watching his buddy laugh at him. Needless to say they actually slowed down and turned off the road so they wouldn't be next to me at a light. Pretty fun, even if it was a stroke of luck.
  18. Sounds good. I actually did find them there but I thought $1 for 2 was expensive so I was looking for alternatives. Not that GMParts direct would be cheaper... $1 for 100 plus $90 for shipping I'm sure. I did find a box of 20 at Auto Zone for $3.99 but they are just a bit to short and one of the sides keep breaking off when I try to push it in. Thanks for the advice!
  19. I'm looking for the part # for the nylon push rivits that hold the plastic guards up in the wheel wells. I took them out for the header install and someone (girlfriend) who I won't name (girlfriend) threw them away. I need to order more. Thanks!
  20. I didn't use this during the cam install. Selling it for $90 including shipping. It comes with the high flow spring installed and the regular pump spring also.
  21. Bad news for my front driver side tire, I hit something going 65 on the freeway the other day. I'm not sure where the rim is bent or what's wrong but it won't hold air. I'm looking for someone who's selling just a single rim or would trade for a brand new ported high flow oil pump?
  22. I just did a cam swap along with headers and e-fans. I took a ton of pictures and kept good notes. I would have had it up by now but I've been out of the country for work. I'll try to work on the post when I get back Thursday but I'm gone for another week right after that. I'n the mean time if you have any specific questions about the install on our trucks sent me a PM or I can give you my number for emergencys.... I definatly had a few of those! Good luck on the swap though... it's a lot of fun... and a damn pain in the ass! Haha. Oh, also.. before you start... a set of metric gear wrenches would have saved me a lot of heart ache!
  23. I'd like to give a big thanks to Wody (aka alan) for sending me the housing for my stat. He had one laying around and just sent it out for nothing. It's great that there is a group like this who want to help eachother. There is hope after all!
