I just got a silverado z71 with the 5.3L. I am wanting to get after-market exhaust, so could you please advise me overall good exhaust system for 2017 silverado 1500? half of my friends say get it dumped, my auto savy friends say it wont sound good when it switches over to 8 cylinders. but i’ve heard that the exhaust note doesnt change much when it goes in the 8 cyl mode. anyone know for sure?? I dont want a loud annoying tone at all, just something that sounds smooth and will help out with the engine.
