  1. My other truck is a 85 c10 . it's got a built 327 .40 over and I put a lunati bracket master II in it with 515./.515 lift and .300 /.300 duration. Now when I did it I ended up with a used Pete Jackson noisy gear drive. When installing cam it called for 3 Or 4 degrees of advancement. Gear drive only came with on cam degree bushing and that was the 0° one. So I went ahead finished up and broke in cam everything went well. Now I'm to the point of my post. Its not running real strong on the bottom end and I know advancing the degree angle will gain low end torque and my distributors vacuum can is touching carb it's advanced so much. Pete Jackson has went pout of business and I don't know where to get the degree bushings. Summit has degree bushing from multiple brands but i dont know if they'll work. Has anyone had anything similar of an issue and can help me out here??
  2. I think your right thank you I looked into it a little more closely and I think what I saw was a brand called factory .ugh well I guess I'll suck it up hahaha GET THE STRIPPERS!!!!!
  3. I know it's an out dated post but I'll reply with my 2 cents for anyone who come across this in the future . if you have an electronic tb you never should open the butterfly manually it can and most of the time will damage the actuator. Turn key on do not start truck and have a buddy hold the throttle at wot gently with a clean rag and electronic throttle body cleaner whipe off the crud try to get the top edges of the blade soak up as much as possible and you should be golden. Note truck may take longer to start initially that usual the first fire up after but it will be ok
  4. Title got your attention? i hope so because im new here so i had to get it somehow.. Well anyhow, i did a pretty good search before typing this so i wouldn't flood the market so to speak but i have and issue with my cluster. My tach is reading about 500 below actual, ( verified while driving with my flashpaq) Is there a part number for the stepper motor or what? I would have a somewhat hard time sending my cluster out to whoever because one its our only vehicle right not and my daily, and also being the Earnhardt im worried that i would get the wrong cluster back either on purpose or accident, leaving the dale earnhardt signed one of the intimidator truck to be lost , (valid concern....right?) is there any place that sells a service kit ?
  5. Ok, well firstly this is my first post on here besides the introduction section..I was wanting to get a remote start and while browsing i saw the gm harness kit that just plugs in. A few issues i immediately think of is #1 when i bought my truck it came with no keyless entry remote, just a key, i know these have an anti theft passkey , now i assume previous owner could have gotten it repoed or something because recently i noticed a box tied in to the harness under the dash and fuze pannel while doing my heater core, i know its most likely one of the bypass boxes you can get. With that brief explanation here's my question, Can i purchase the factory remote start option harness and plug it in and also purchase a new remote and be good? will the remote not link with my truck due to this passkey tomfoolery? Issue #2 is, beyond the passkey stuff, will my body control module need programmed for the added harness or does the harness do its thing on its own, its got a little box on it so possibly a module of its own?
  6. Cincinnati to be specific, i have use this forum for the 4 years ive owned my truck. I don't know why i never joined, probably in a hurry and needed what info i could find and this forum has always pulled through. I drive a 2006 Intimidator ss , i dont know what number out of the 9 hundred and some odd that made it to sale (i only know this because of this site, thanks) so thats all i have for now thanks
