These trucks look good with their original SS wheels, as well as the TBSS style. I can't find a picture, but someone had put the newer model wheels on a black SS. The wheel option ck160, in black machined finish, and I don't remember if it was a 22 or 24 wheel, but it looked good!

Not to burst your bubble, but this thread is almost 8 years old bud lol!Still have the bumper?

I guess they also think they add value... Should've left those stickers off. Smh.

Maybe it was God saying "ohhh, just let me touch the truck!" HahahaIt was struck by lightning? Wow.... Im not sure if that is a good or bad thing...... lol.

I see pictures of Silverado with titan wheels, you say the studs are 2mm different, how do they run them with that difference? Could you buy the plastic rings that come with after-market brand wheels to center them, and then torque down?Dunno about the offset but what would concern me is that although the pattern is the same, 6x139.7mm (6x5.5"), there are two other minor differences.
Online references are a little sketchy to depend on but I believe the Titan has a center bore of 78.1mm, the Silverado is gonna be 78.3mm for the somewhat newer stuff like our SS's. Most stock wheels being hubcentric, that's gonna make them a no-go right there.
Also, the Titan uses 12mm wheel studs while our trucks use 14mm, so the lug holes in the wheels may not be quite large enough.

Who let you in on that secret? Hahahaha! It does seem like a cross of the Raptor, Colorado, and a Silverado. They say it will have multiple engine and transmission configurations, but I assume that's to get them on the road and persuade people to buy them...I know right! The new Ford inspired Chevy, with round fender wells and Raptor like front end...seriously wtf is going on???!!! First GM launches 4cyl turbo camaros, then these horrible Baja style Silverados..... whats next a 4cyl corvette also???

Is it possible the shifter linkage isn't fully putting it into gear? I know you said it doesn't roll backwards, but did all that look good when you were changing the fluid?

I used to work I a detail shop and they had taken out a booklet that has the VHO in ccsb 4x4 configuration, not z71, but 4x4. I Craigslist constantly and see them posted from time to time, I'm positive they were available in 2006. When I get back to town I can try and post a picture of the book I'm talking about. There is no such thing as a crew cab 4x4 VHO. Only extended cab 2wd 04 and 05.
edit: I see what you're saying now, VHO and Vortec Max being different, my mistake lol, read to fast think too slow hahaI used to work I a detail shop and they had taken out a booklet that has the VHO in ccsb 4x4 configuration, not z71, but 4x4. They'll most likely bring similar value to the SSS, but it would depend on all the goodies they have. I could only find these.

There was another black ccsb 4x4 VHO on Craigslist closer to Texas but I can't find the link. :/ you could always go on autotrader and cargurua and search 05-07 trucks with v8 and eventually one will pop, it might not have the badging, but I've seen a few that have the N vin or X I think one had? It's a little frustrating some trucks have the VHO wheels but the 4.8 in them.

To me everything requested in the video is just asking Chevy to compete with the Ford
To me everything requested in the video is just asking Chevy to compete with the Ford Raptor. In the video you ask for different driving modes, in particular a track mode. You asked for wider and more off road capable tires, I don't think those would do to well at the track. If you mean dirt racing sure, but still I wouldn't categorize this as a race truck. There's a few other "contradictory" stuff asked for in this video.
EDIT: After watching the video again, basically he's asking for a Chevrolet version of the raptor and asking Chevrolet to "update" a few things so they would be up to par with other trucks.

I saw that truck too, raised an eyebrow haha. It does have the Earnhardt signed cluster, which also leaves the question of it's true mileage if it's an 03 awd...
-
I don't think so, the picture has been around a while. It does look like the truck has a 3/5ish drop on it already. The wheels are ck162, which have been out since the body. I would expect SS specific wheels, and of course badging, etc. Maybe it is real, but doubtful.
Edit:
1. What is the graphic on the passenger side door?
2. It looks like the LTZ badge was just moved to the other side of the grille.
3. Why would they put Silverado lettering on the doors?
4. Side steps?

Is this just for windows/desktop platforms, does it work for the standard internet app on phones?

Is it sitting on a dealer lot?

thats a sexy silver birch you got there! Is it a true 06/07, or 05 with 06 front?275/40/20 in the front and 315/35/20 in the back bridgestone runflats
-
People say black is the fastest color, but I feel Victory Red may give em a run for their money, that 06 front end looks mean!
-
Damn, that thing looks so sharp and is freaking looooooow! Welcome to the site man!
-
Congratziz man! Gotta love the Texas trucks haha, is it a black one?
-
It might just have the ISS badging, the as cladding and bumpers make it look good, but that front grill seems funky. Might look better with black wheels or silver machined instead of chrome.
-
Indeed. I bought aftermarket for my 06 blue granite, much cheaper than factory replacements, but man, that glass wanted to fall out going down the highway, it pretty much rendered them useless trying to actually check your mirrors how much they shook...Typically an LT trim or SLT (GMC) truck came with them. Also the ho's and burb's had them on the higher trim.....
-
You could buy one with dl3 or dl8 mirrors on ext cabs and crew cabs. Dl3 had the signals in glass, not sure if all had power fold and puddle in them, but they did come on "optioned trucks. I believe in some cases you could get them in reg cab, but it may have had to have the 5.3 in it to be an option. Were the turn signals in the mirrors not exclusive to the SSs? I've never seen a regular Silverado with those that weren't aftermarket.

I thought arrival blue was taken off the color choice and replaced with silver birch in early 2005? Imagine having a garage with 03-07 classic sss trucks each of one color! Droooooool...Nice looking SS! More pics when you can get them would be good.
Hmmm if I got a red and a blue then I'd have all the '06 colors. ;)
Good luck with the sale!

You're the owner of the truck in the co post? You had made a post a while back saying you had picked up the ISS from a guy who had kept it in a garage forever and was the original owner right? I feel like that was the original posting anyways...Those are pictures of my truck, I called him out in email about it. I'll post screenshots one second...

To start off not my listing, but wouldn't mind helping the guy get his ride some more views.
