No tune. Only MOD is a CAI. Has 170k. Just bought it a few months ago. No idea last tune up. Will try all of the above. Are autolites the best plugs to run?

I'm getting a ping when I floor it. I don't usually beat on it. I floored it yesterday and noticed a ping. I went to the gas station and filled up with 93 octane. I usually always put 93 octane in it. But gas was a few weeks old in the tank so I filled up. Drove it about 30 miles, then floored it again. Ping is still there... My first thought was "gas station isn't really selling 93". A few days ago my battery died from running my radio too long (fool). I jump started the truck and it wouldn't idle for about 5 minutes (kept stalling unless I kept it at about 900 rpms. I figured the tps went out of wack. It idles fine now, but noticed a ping when I floor it. Is there anything else I can do?

Sorry haven't been on the iPad in a few days. Resignators are off. Sounds MUCH better. I'll try and post some sound clips this week. I have been driving around with the overdrive off so it it even louder. Haha. Thanks for all everyone's help.

I had magna flow prior to the flowmaster. Didn't notice anything different

I put the super 40s on. Louder but not loud enough. Resignators are coming off tomorrow. Stupid question but, do resignators make you lose any power?

I loved the super 40 muffler on my old truck. I might got with that. It it loud at idle on these trucks?

I feel like I've youtubed every SS exhaust under the sun. So far I keep going back to the Corsa Sport. Any input? Do they make a dual in/out I can just weld in place of the magna flow? I'm guessing the pipes are 2.5"

I have an 04 SS. I have been searching the forum for a while but can't find exactly what I need (probably an operator error ?). It has a magna flow dual exhaust on it and I really dislike the sound. It's too smooth for my liking and I can hardly hear it at idle. I want something raspy and mean sounding while cruising and idling, but also want a nice sound. I've had a few 90's silverados with flowmaster 40 series, super 40s, and super 44's. I don't want to replace the whole exhaust, just the muffler. I also don't want to get into headers or hi-flow cats quite yet. Which muffler will sound mean at all speeds? Probably like finding a needle in a haystack without changing headers. I'm not really worried about drone. Any Input it welcome. If there is a thread about this I appologize. Videos welcome! Thank you.
