  1. I like the look of these extenders. May have to get some - my pass rear window has a slight leak. How to safely determine if your air noise is the doors or the windows: 1) close windows and turn off A/C, radio so you can hear the wind noise 2) have a passenger ride in the back seat to help find the source 3) drive at the speeds where the noise occurs 4) have the passenger locate the source of the noise (door seal or window) 5) if window, have the passenger pull the window latches tighter to see if the noise is reduced or eliminated 6) if door, have the passenger stuff towels around the source of the leak to see if the noise is reduced or eliminated 7) fix the locations found and test again... I fixed a few door seal air leaks and rattles with slight adjustments to the door latches. The window leak has slowly gotten loud enough to be annoying over 20K miles or so, and now requires attention.
  2. I don't think a D1SC would be enough blower for that motor. Maybe an F-1... I think a trick progressive nitrous setup would be awesome. Multiple bottles in the bed with 2 or 3 feed lines. First stage for launch and shifts... second stage for the meat of the powerband... optional third stage for all out drag racing. Maybe even one of those fancy pulsed solenoids and controller for a ramped nitrous apply... So did they replace the t-case? I didn't think there were many servicable parts in there...
  3. I think I've heard that somewhere before...
  4. Ooohh, pretty. (where's that pic of Homer Simpson drooling)

  7. Stock converter for now. Got the Transgo 4L60E-HD2-C kit from JAG. Installed it myself. 1 washer, 'vette servo. Hits hard.
  8. When I had the rear door panel off I tightened the screws that attach the window to the door. This seems to have worked...
  9. Hi guys, - The knocking sound at startup could be the infamous GM piston slap. - Fixed my own - passenger door rattle, wind noise around doors, wind noise pass rear window - I have a squealing alternator bearing too supraman said... Do you mean the engine power drops at ~5000rpm? Does this happen from a dead stop? Or when you floor it and downshift from a roll? It could be torque reduction or the traction control system...
  10. Great info Richard! btw, i found this funny... "if the viscous coupling fluid has leaked out from being severely humped."

    SS top speed?

I would be interested in seeing the "police vehicle" program from a GM truck/tahoe.
