seacrched but only came up with awd truck problems..... ive got a 2006 silverado ss 2wd ...and recently started to shake backand forth real bad, i feel it in the steering wheel , it does it while driving not braking.. i have no idea where to start.. ball joints, tie rods ,?????? plz help truck has 100k on it now...

I'm not making a "clone" just buying a new silverado single cab because they look awesome and I want it to look like if chevy had made an ss version..???? Make sense

guys im looking for a tailgate spoiler for a brand new 2015 single cab silverado, something like the intimidator ss wing,and i want a bolt on roll pan for the 2015 silverado as well, any help is appreciated!!!! ive searched and cant find either for the 2015 silverado!!

hey guys, im purchasing a 2015 single cab ,short bed with the 5.3 motor, fully loaded,black with black interior,the only way i could get a locking diff. in the these trucks was to get the z71 2WD package... thats right i said 2WD z71...dont believe me?,call chevy and ask! anyway ive never lowered a truck before,and i hate the stance of the single cab! the back just sits up way to high for my taste... im planing on making a daily driver SS clone out of it and wanted some opinions on what way to drop it,how far and no c notch? i dont wanna slam it, just a nice lowered truck... i was thinkin maybe 2/4, yall gimme some imput

Turned out to be the driver side header flange leaking...got new gaskets from gm and they work good with the headers surprisingly?, little soapy water pointed it out ,new gaskets and boom! no more leak! Thanks alot for the help guys!!!!!

Love the valve covers!!! where can iget a set? are they direct bolt on?

ok havnt got around to checking for the leak yet , been workin 7-12's, but just for some knowledge, do these motors have a bad rap for lifters or rockers failing? i know the rocker bearings on ls1's can fail, but i dont know about the lq9's??

Ok , I'll check around all the sealing surfaces with some soapy water maybe, and get back to yall, but I'm leaning more towards the valve train? I hope I'm wrong!

yeah i checked all gaskets yesterday, everything is good.. any other ideas?

hey guys,my 06 ss has 90k miles now and last night i pulled into a drive thru and as i was waiting in line i had my window down and radio off and i could hear what sounded like a rocker or lifter ticking, i have good oil pressure and just changed the oil not long ago(amsoil), ive had long tubes on the truck for a couple years now and ive always noticed slight valvetrain noise thru the headers.. but it seems like its getting louder especially when next to a wall or in the garge,anybody else have this issue? and maybe how to fix it?? thanks guys

Hey guys, my current setup is dynatech lt's with dynatech high flow cats to dual slp loudmouth's then y'd into the stock tailpipe, ,, and it's LLOOUUDD!! But was thinking of dumping it at the axle? ? Just wondering if anyone has done this and what are ur thoughts on the sound and tone? , thanks for any input!

Well guys , the sun finally came out and it warmed up so I couldn't help but spend all day cleaning!

Mine were starting to fade so I bought all new badges, it wasn't cheap tho! , It was 300$ a piece for the "intimidator" and 99$ a piece for the "ss" ! At the dealership. .. , Uvalde huh? I went to school in pearsall! Good to see another member from the south!

Hey guys, I've got a stock ISS, with long tubes full exhaust and Nelson tune!, wanted to know if a procharger kit would be a good bolt on for a pretty much stock motor? I plan on cam, heads and intake, along with forging internals, in the near future, , but wanted to know about tranny issue's? And what all is needed for a 80e swap ?? Thanx for any info !!! Mike...

Thanx guys!! I really hate knowing that pretty much the underside of these trucks don't hold up well!, I bought this truck from a dealer in Wisconsin! ! And the whole underside has rust everywhere! ! I'm doing everything I can to get it back to OEM but it's a hell of a process!!! It's nice knowing there's guys out there with the SS love that I have for these trucks!!!!!!!!!
