  1. It is listed in SC, sorry if anyone is from SC on here.... but they do love them some Dale down here.... LOL. Were much smarter in NC.... I was doing a search for SS stuff and came across it.... I could resist posting it here.....
  2. Umm that's not an SS pickup..... I think you found the wrong site....
  3. That's nuts.... There is a guy around me with a LQ4 on CL with like 180K, he was asking 1800 then he dropped to 1600 and still no takers. In my mind it a 800-1000 motor at BEST. But that is what I would be willing to pay. They say there is a sucker born every minute.... if they can get that money for one more power to them!
  4. I argue otherwise... I've had 5 s-trucks with the 4.3 and all were super thirsty... I think my SSS get better MPG..... LOL.
  5. Check this out...... Lol. https://greenville.craigslist.org/ctd/d/2004-chevy-blazer-2dr/6299074752.html
  6. Not really... you can buy a new crate motor for not much more with a warranty.... just sayn'
  7. As the pres would say...... FAKE NEWS. There was an article in Automotive News (an industry publication I read) that people create fake cars just to get you to click on ads. It creates consumer confusion as people will come into showrooms looking for a vehicle that doesn't exist.....
  8. You can also tell the aftermarket ones have a more rounded hole vs the OE ones have a more rectangular hole that is more squared off to pry the cap off.....
  9. That is a GM one.... I think they buy overstock parts. My stuff was new but not in a GM package.
  10. It is not.... the GM ones have little metal tabs on the inside of the cap that hold the outside part on.
  11. This isnt the right forum. This is dedicated to Silverado SS trucks. Try a Chevelle only form like chevelles.net. I have a chevelle as well and visit over there sometimes. Most likely you didnt buy the right sender.... the correct one would have a return line. You probably have a small block one as they didnt typically have a return line unless you had an AC car.
  12. Yes you cant just buy the center part. SAE auto parts on eBay has GM ones for around 40 bucks. That is a bargain..... new from GM list is like 160. FYI the top pic is an aftermarket one notice it doesnt have the fake hex heads.....
  13. That doesn't make much sense. There was a one piece center. Maybe you have aftermarket caps. On the back does it have a GM logo? Are your caps chrome or argent silver?
  14. Those are aftermarket junk ones...... I've been looking for some nice used GM ones for a while. I have another one that the center part is turning white. They are discontinued from GM. Sadly a year or two ago I bought some new GM ones for like 40 bucks each to replace two bad ones I have but then they sold out......
  15. Nice! Good luck with sale. Wish I could buy it but I'm busy buying parts for the XUV I'm rebuilding..... lol.
  16. That's a hell of a deal! Why did you not decide to put it on?
  17. If I ever get some free time I plan to do this myself. I'll take some pictures and post. It's too bad the guy that started this post did a really nice write up.
  18. Just find a u pull it junk yard by you. I grabbed 3 puddle lights off some trucks that were there. I now have spares!
  19. The best advice on here..... the 4.3 in your truck was based off the old as dirt 350 with two cylinders chopped off. They were not known for power or fuel economy. They also had a propensity to have intake gasket leaks which lead to bottom end failures when owners neglected them. The 4.3 in the new trucks was a total clean sheet design.... the only thing it shares with the 4.3 in your truck is the displacement size nothing else. The new 4.3 is based from the LS family and is a much better design...... they finally fixed all the short comings the "original " 4.3 had.
  20. The one I had did not have the carbon fiber trim.... it may have been an option as an add on accessory.... I don't recall it's been a while....
  21. I had one as a company car back in the day. Let me see if I can dig up a picture. They like the SSS didn't sell well. Too much money at the time. The one I drove had sat on a dealers lot for some time......
  22. Yeah the trailer is a little over kill. It's a heavy duty trailer it weighs almost 2,000 pounds. I used to call on a dealer who sold trailers when I was in Iowa and he sold me at cost.... I couldn't say no. With a car on it it's fine but that big SUV was a bit strained. Actually truck did really good considering al the weight. Probably do better with weight distribution bars....

    Wanted

The factory mats are still available without the stitching. You could buy a set and have them embroidered I would think.....
  24. I picked this up this weekend.... GMC XUV. I got a good deal on it but the front end is a little buggered up. I got most the parts to fix it this weekend. I used to flip s-trucks and took the last few years off, I would find ones with mechanical issues and fix them. This is the first one with body damage and am learning quickly... my wife jokes this is the first one I brought home that runs and drives. I towed it home with the SS, this is the heaviest vehicle I've had on the back so far. Truck did good but a few times going up hill I could tell it was wheezing a little.
