I found them today! Now I just need to gather up the parts to complete. I think the reason why most trucks have them are the SS started life as a "LT" truck basically then were sent to the techstar for the SS conversion.... since GM never made a LT without fogs I think they simply didn't install at the factory but the trucks have the harness already.

Anyone on here have the cubby cam? I wanted to put Camera in my rear view mirror but since I have the pass airbag message in mirror that's not an option. Looks like a nice kit.... abit a bit pricey but looks clean. http://www.cubbycam.com/store/

I tried quickly last night but it was dark. I did look in by buss center and I see the pins that go to the fuse relay so I would "assume" that it has wiring... I need to keep looking I have a feeling there are there but just hiding REALLY good.

I need to look a little closer.. maybe even take headlights out... In my fuse box I have a relay and the fuse so I would guess if that's there the wires must be hiding somewhere?

I bought my 06 Silverado SS and it has EVERY option except steering wheel controls. I've looked around on the net and have seen it can be done but you need a new clock spring and need to reprogram the BCM. Has anyone here done it successfully. If not I will have to roll without controls.....

Yeah but my 06 book said that applies to my truck. It said in tow haul 6 blinks in normal 3 blinks.....

Ok, I looked but can anyone provide insight into where the factory harness might be or did the later trucks like my 06 not have the harness from the factory?

Yeah I have had the newer trucks that do this. I was curious the owners manual says it has it... looks like it might be wrong.

I read my owners manual yes... I know weird hugh? Anyways it mentions a feature that if you hold turn signal lever down it will flash turn signal 3 times like when you go to pass someone. I know the '07 up trucks did this but I wasn't aware the 2006's did this? I tried and it doesn't work... so does anyone else with a '06 know if this works or the manual is wrong.... or something is broken on truck. Thanks.

I want to do this and looked under truck. I don't see the wire harness, can anyone tell me where it is tucked up at? Also on a 06 does anyone that has done fog mod know is it plug and play or does the BCM need a reflash? I see conflicting things....

Wanted to introduce myself.... I purchased a 2006 SSS last Saturday. So far love the truck. Wish I knew more about history of truck. I have been looking for a 06 or 07 SSS on and off and found this truck less then 30 miles from my house. I found it at a Ford dealer... guess prior owner traded in on a new Ford? This is perfect with only 48,000 miles. Bed was NEVER used. Probably the nicest used truck I ever have seen. I really wanted a new Silverado but when I looked how much they cost I decided to find a nice used truck and this fit the bill perfectly. Only mods truck has is a K&N cold air intake, which I want to replace, I hate K&N's and a aftermarket dual exhaust. It doesn't sound bad nor does it look bad. I would rather it had the stock exhaust but when this system gives up the ghost or I get some extra scratch I plan to replace with a Corsa. I didn't realize that these are somewhat rare.... I just bough it to pull my car trailer... ha. Truck still had window sticker in glove box and looks like it has lived it whole life in North Carolina. Look forward to hanging out on site when I have free time (what's that?).
