  1. Ok I think I may have found a positive answer that the pacesetter 1 7/8 headers fit 4wd and AWD models. I'm looking at the 72C2266 model number. Ceramic coated.
  2. minor rubbing is not that big a deal....its the threads that i see people taking a sawzall to the frame that im worried about
  3. Ok yes I know this topic is probably the most beat horse on here. But I have yet to get a confirmed 100% sure answer on fitment. So I have a 03 awd SS....currently has Doug Thorley stainless shortie headers with a catted y pipe. I'm looking at swapping them for some long tubes. I have a set of lpp long tubes off my 01 2wd....but not sure of fitment. Also have seen some guys say the f body headers may fit. But yet again no confirmed answer that I found for the AWD trucks. I'm not looking to drop 700-1000 for kooks or anything. I will be happy with lpp, obx, pacesetter or any other budget brand. Also will not be running cats. Thanks and sorry for bringing a bad topic back up but like I said I have read thru many threads and I havnt found the 100% sure answer id like to hear before making a order.
  4. Well long story short, I havnt been online here in quite some time after the black truck got totaled....stopped by to check on old build threads from time to time an seen many of the old faces still posting. I went thru a few truck but never really felt at home after my Ext Cab. Nothing could fill that void where a cammed 5.3 sound sat in my mind. Not even my 450hp duramax could get me the fix i was after. So ended up getting a super super clean 05 z71.....lifted 6'' 22x12 wheels with the wide offset, 35s, full led treatment and i loved it for a little while but still longed for another "black truck" as it was known around my town very well. Sooo that leads to this past week i sold the Z for a ridiculous amount of money , no way i could turn the offer down. And i went on the prowl for a clean SS. Found this really clean and bolt on modded 03 with 143k miles and at a under value price. Checked it out and test drove it thursday evening. Instantly fell in love and it passed me and a buddies 120 point inspection ha! So i went and paid cash for it friday at lunch time. So now on to some specs and pics! of course the standard LQ9-4L65-AWD with 4.10s front an rear Has some Thorley mid lengths, high flow cats into a y pipe and 3'' back to a super 10 series flow that will be cut of ASAP and replaced with either a magnflow or dynomax bullet. CAI-just a spectra but it does the job MSD wires PCM for less tune-will be getting a local tuner to do a street tune most likely small stall-1800-2200 range to the best i can tell Lowered 3/4 with belltech parts-rides excellent minus a few bumps on the stops Snug top bed cover-most likely will be pulled off and will be re painting the bed where it has left a rub line painted billet grille inserts and billet bowtie Kenwood double din and full door speaker replacement with bose factory sub still in place lightly tinted-will be recievieng another layer and full windshield to preserve the very good condition leather seats not sure on brand of 20'' wheels but will be sold or traded for stock ss wheels that i will paint just like i did my old truck
