Thanks guys. Yeah I know I should have gotten OEM but I cheaped out. Its sad everything now is made out of country, its challenging to buy American stuff you really have to look for it. I figured they have a lifetime warranty and I got them for $90 total. Plus I can save some money for mods!

Solved! Took off the stuck caliper and exchanged it for another reman problem solved. I guess quality control is lacking. Thanks everyone for the help.

Dont know. I will check tomorrow. Would they cause excessive brake dust on my wheels though?

I wonder if its just a shitty reman caliper. Im going to return the caliper and install another reman with a new brake line. Sucks though because I wont really have time to do it till this weekend.

No I didnt check that. I am getting a ton of brake dust though. Would a parking brake put out all that dust? How you you adjust them?

Just installed two reman calipers. The drivers side rear wheel is good but the passenger side rear wheel is still sticking? Any ideas?

On the weekends I bought two new calipers today, going to install tomorrow will report back with results. Should fix it though

The problem seems to randomly come and go but it seems like it is getting less hot and becoming less frequent. I didnt get a chance to take it apart this weekend, I had to do a BJ on the wifes SUV.

So just bought my SS and the previous owner just put on new pads before I got it. They probably have about 500 miles on them. Anyway the issue I'm having is my reae brakes get very hot and smelly only when I'm in reverse. I don't think the calipers are stuck because the truck will idle forward and backwards fine and will roll in neutral. Anybody have any ideas?

Alright, are there any good meets in this area? Any good shops you would recommend? I moved here in August for the military so Im still getting familiar with the area. Im surprised there isnt any big meets annually for the SSS.

Hello, everyone I have been a member of the site for a while but I sold my old SS and unfortunately did not own an SS for the past year or two. Anyway, I found this cream puff on craiglist and I couldnt pass up the offer. A 2003 Onyx Black SS with 91,000 miles It was owned by a older gentleman and he was the original owner with all records. Best of all it has always been a southern truck so it has ZERO rust. I feel like I stole if from him but thats okay because it means I have extra money for some mods! Im going to do a few cosmetic mods to start off, paint the grilles silver, add a lower lip (from the 05-06 tahoe), customize the bowtie, aftermarket headlights and give it a good polish and wax. Then I was looking to lower the back using 2 inch lowering shackle and lowering the front by adjusting the torsion bars just a little bit to give it a slight rake. Does anyone have any recommendations for shocks to use with this "drop"? And how does the ride change by adjusting the torsion bars? Thanks! Pictures kinda suck because it was so damn sunny!

Just wondering which headers bolt up directly to the stock exhaust? I'm guessing shorty headers. Also, which ones would have the least amount of heat? How challenging is the install, seems pretty straightforward but I could be wrong.

Looking to buy a clean SS in the Georgia area, I am willing to travel for the right truck. I would prefer blue, for the color but Im not too picky. Looking to spend no more than 12k, so obviously I know I will be looking at higher mileage trucks. That is no problem as long as they have been taken care of.
