  1. Not sure why the pictures came out so tiny. I'll try to repost the fullsize versions when I have more time. Need to find a couple more parts to put the rest of the SS kit together and get the body work done and the whole truck painted. Not much to see right now on the outside. Guess I could take some underhood pics that show the engine installed and everything else that we polished and stuff under there, like the custom 5" intake, AC Compressor, Alternator, ECM, TCM, FICM, etc.
  2. Just a quick update. Had some drive pressure issues on the Double Bat S475 with an 83mm turbine, but threw it on the dyno for a base line and did 835 rwhp. I swapped to a BullsEye Power TCT S475 with an 87mm turbine and tore up the torque converter and twisted some splines in the trans the next day. Got it back together with a lock-up controller to keep the converter alive and billet hub and planetary so I won't twist splines. Also added a 4" electric cut-out directly off the downpipe since the new turbo still had high drive pressure - I didn't help but sure sounds mean with it open. I sent the TCT turbo back to have the turbine wheel clipped and swap to a bigger housing and rebuilt an old S480 I had sitting around and added a billet wheel before throwing it on to get me by. I need to get my wastegate and a little more on the tuning dialed in and then dyno it to see if I can hit 1000 rwhp on a single turbo and single CP3 injection pump. After that I'll probably go back down to the 75mm turbo, or possibly even smaller - turn the power down and just enjoy this truck so I have time to work on the race truck.
  3. I am out of these roll pans and have been for some time now. Future inquiries about these need to be directed to BSER as I will not be purchasing another batch. Thanks to everyone that took them off my hands and I hope you are all happy with the pans. I need to find a few more cladding and bracket pieces before I'll be ready for paint or the pan.
  4. As a Diesel Performance shop I don't think that becoming a vendor on a non-diesel site would be very beneficial to me. I saw that Bob (BSER) was not a vendor and didn't think I would need to become one to put up the money to get him to make another batch for everyone's benefit. This is the only batch I will be buying from Bob - I just wanted a roll pan (and a spare) for my Diesel SS clone project and had to buy at least 10 at once to make that happen. I figured it would help others that couldn't get a group of 10 buyers together at once and am just looking to break even on them. The reason the price will go up is that I am paying $450 shipped for them (just like his last batch), so if you pay before he ships them I can have him ship it to you at that $450 price. If you wait until he's shipped them to me then I have $450 in it getting it here, then have to repackage it and pay to ship it to you. The price has to go up to cover those costs so I can break even.
  5. Just talked to Bob. He has some construction going on at his business and needs the space where the roll pans are stored, so he is shipping them all to me. If you call and pay for one ASAP I can try to catch it before he has them all boxed up so that you can pay $450 shipped directly from him. After he boxes them up to ship to me it will be too late and the price will have to go up to cover the expense of shipping it twice. When they get here I will be able to weigh and measure the boxes and come up with the new price. Most likely they will end up over $500. Diesel Addiction Shop: 910-763-1796 Cell: 330-442-7879
  6. Bob called today to let me know that he finished them over the weekend and is starting to box them up. I am getting him as many last minute names as I can to save you guys the shipping and me the hassle, but I have to recieve full payment so he can ship one to you. Just give me a call. 7. Not looking to gain anything from buying so many pans, that's just what it took to get them made for myself without worrying about getting together a group buy. If they sit on the shelf too long waiting for people on the forum to buy them at the normal price they will go on EBay for a higher price.
  8. Not sure if this was directed at me or other people in the thread. I have already sent payment to Bob to order 12 roll pans, I will be keeping 2 of them and will be selling the other 10. There is no more need for "I'm in" and or confirmed payments for these to get made. Until I run out of them it will just be a phone call to me, pay, and one will get shipped to you.
  9. I figured it would help everyone, all of the BSER rollpan threads had guys that would come in a week after the deadline saying they wish they had seen it or guys that want one but can't afford it until a certain date in the future. This way I'll have them on the shelf and if someone comes in this thread they can call me and get one with no wait or delay and if someone doesn't have the money they can save up and buy it when they do, without having to have 6+ months for another batch.
  10. Starting to gather parts, wanted to be able to find this thread again.
  11. OK guys here is the deal. I was trying to find a roll pan for the SS clone that I am building and came across BSER and his pans, saw this thread and others about the mold and minimum orders and all and since I am about to get my truck and cladding and everything painted I did not want to wait. I got in contact with Bob (BSER) and we worked out a deal to get more made. I ordered 12 of them, 1 for my truck, 1 spare and 10 that I will be selling. The check is already on the way for them so that he can get a new mold made and get started making them. Bob agreed that he will not compete with me selling them until I am sold out - I didn't want to order this many then have him make extra and sell them to people that were ready to buy now, then take forever for me to sell the extras I ordered. Any one that wants a BSER roll pan should contact me to pay. If you are paid before Bob is done making them the price will still be $450 shipped from him straight to you. If you wait until after he ships the rest to me it will $450 + shipping. This is for forum members only - if I end up with quite a few extras that aren't selling here they will probably go on EBay with a $500 starting bid. I know this may seem fishy so I will ask Bob to reply to this thread confirming everything. I can accept check, money order, or credit card over the phone. 13. I got the truck pretty much finished up mechanically and have been driving it for about a week. I have the drop spindles on the way because without them the tie rod and UCA angles werebad and it was killing my turning radius and wouldn't have been able to be aligned. The rubber bushings that came on the top of the QA1 stud top adapters pushed right throught the hole in the shock bucket so I have some Energy Suspension Polyurenthane replacements on the way to test out before giving up on using a stud at the top (and being able to run a longer shock than I could otherwise). Without a 1000 lb motor and 350 lb trans you guys would probably be much better off. I am definitely doing the cladding. I got in touch with Bob and have him making 12 roll pans - 2 for me (keeping a spare if they are this hard to get) and the other 10 will go up for sale. It took at least 10 to cover the mold and let him break even and I knew he had a hard time getting everyone to start paying so he could get started. Figured I'd foot the bill and let you guys buy them from me as you had the money. No compounds (which most diesel guys incorrectly call twins) or true twins. Just a BullsEye Power Double Bat S475 single turbo. Will push a little over 60 PSI of boost and shooting to make 1000 rwhp as soon as I get some miles on the motor and get the tuning dialed in. I will never run any compound setup on any of my trucks. In my opinion a properly sized single will fit 99% of people's needs for towing and performance. This one is not an LBZ, 2500's got the "2006" front end in 2005, which is what this one is - so it is an LLY. At this point the ECM, FICM, and injectors are about the only thing making it an LLY though. The rest is aftermarket and is the same you would use to build an LBZ or any other engine model. This truck is my daily driver and has been driven every day since I finished it and will continue to be. I have another 2005 Duramax 4x4 that we chopped from a RCLB to a RCSB and are building into the shop race truck. That one will be less show and all go - shooting for 4500 lbs with me in it and mid 8s of better in the 1/4 mile. I beefed up the shock mount on the DJM LCA since it was only intended to mount a shock and not to support the weight of the truck. They would have worked the same way with stock LCA's. I only went with the DJM's to correct the lower ball joint angle - since I'm not running torsion bars the arms aren't actually doing anything else as far as dropping the truck down. We also gusseted the shock buckets to the frame since they weren't meant to take the weight of the truck. Again, my motor and transmission is MUCH heavier than yours so you would probably be fine - I've seen Duramax guys not gusset anything up either. And no, the torsion bar crossmember and it's mounts are all gone.
  14. I have reached out to Bob and am waiting for a response. I want one of these on the Diesel SS clone I am building and have told him that I will take on all the hassle of collecting money and selling them by me paying for and ordering how ever many necessary to get him to make a batch, or more if he is willing to make extras. If they are this hard to get a hold of I will put one on the truck and store another in case anything happens then sell the rest as people can come up with the money. Hopefully he will get back to me soon.
  15. What got me on this forum is that I am thinking about removing the flares and doing the full SS body panels to make it a full SS clone. I already had a roll pan and found that BSER may be the only roll pan that will fit with the SS cladding so I joined to keep my eye out for one or to talk Bob into making another batch.
