  1. Figured some of the new guys would enjoy seeing it I know it’s nothing to crazy but it’s cool sharing some History of the trucks with guys that haven’t seen or known about some of the things that were out in circulation there is other stuff but this is all I have to share hopefully other guys will post some of the things they also have.
  2. Found these while cleaning the truck today thought some guys would enjoy seeing them forget where I got them but pretty cool to check out.
  3. I got a sway bar from a ESV Escalade with the end links it might be the same as others Pro Comp MX6R shock mount to mount the end links to the frame Energy Suspension swaybar bushing kit Get an exhaust clamp that fits the bushing kit I believe it was 3” keep in mind it is gonna wrap around your rearend and your swaybar bushing kit is gonna mount and bolt down once you mount the bar to the rearend you’ll find where your end links will want to mount it’s pretty simple after you get it mounted mine has been on for a couple years Problem Free and Handles much better then stock without it and if you can find the bar cheap with end links the other parts are not much money it was winter I didn’t wanna search so I just bought one from EBay with end links think it was $110 shipped local salvage yard would charge way less think I got a price of $40 I just was all set to cold outside and snow I had around $150 total give me some time and I’ll get pictures.
  4. Get an Escalade esv rear bar fits with a Moser rear end cover and corsa exhaust as I was told it wouldnt mine isnt even close to cause problems with Exhaust.
  5. i ran them to the back definitely need a fan setup with a temp switch I had trouble with being to close to the Long Tube Headers with the lines running forward I fabbed up An fittings on my engine cooler lines going to the radiator the lines would be smaller then what I used if you were to do the same thing on the transmission lines
  6. Hydroboost Swap the brake system will solve braking issues my stock transmission seemed better for towing then my built one with 3200 stall converter Ive only towed with 2 trailers one being a snowmobile trailer with 2 Sleds was never a problem another years ago when transmission was stock still was an open trailer with my 1971 3/4 chevy pickup I got a lot of sway side to side when I got anywhere near 70mph and had to punch it to straighten it out and then brake back down to speed just my experience I never really towed much with it so I never did much to the suspension to help it I only towed the old chevy Home and never did that again.
  7. Are there blocks between the rearend and leaf spring along with the hanger and shackles or is it just the hangers and shackles
  8. yeah you got lucky Hotchkis doesn’t care about our trucks anymore they have moved on to newer trucks
  9. I’m not saying going off-roading but I’ve never driven anything else that would climb a snow covered mountain road in Maine with a trailer and 2 Snowmobiles on the Back I drop it in 3 and Hammer up that Mountain hard on the Throttle without any tire not doing its JOB if 1 spins they all spin the AWD Just Works put it into something with suspension travel and it would be a Beast off-road only an idiot takes an SS off-road but the AWD system is a Beast.
  10. the Silverado SS drivetrain from the transfer case to the front and rear axles do not have any electronics to fail and always just works most of the z71 front ends in stock form seem to have a lot of 1 wheel peel from my experience plowing in the winter and I’ve never experienced any 1 wheel peel in my SS leading me to believe it’s got better traction instead of jumping back in forth from one wheel to the other auto hubs fail all the time and the auto transfer cases as well get a lifted z71 swap in a front diff and NP149 transfer case and go ripping and compare it to a stock one and I have no doubt it would out perform a stock z71 off-road.
  11. i don’t take my truck though mud but we get snow for close to 4 months out of the year and I know about mud Google Mud Fest in Halifax Ma we have some of the best mud trucks in the country all guys I’ve grown up with and they are not stock 4x4 axles they are running Spools or welded differentials which is a whole new world of traction compared to a stock set of 4x4 axles the np149 transfer case doesn’t have any shift forks or electronics besides your speed sensor less things to go wrong and Guaranteed to put the traction to both front and rear axles without shift actuator failure that’s common in the switchable 4wheel and the rear axle stock grabs good posi stock the front is not perfect but seems like it’s better then the switchable electronic 4x4 Axle’s That also have failures engaging 4x4 in 200,000 miles I’ve never seen a service 4Wheel drive on my SS and have never seen 1 wheel tire spin from my front end if it isn’t broken it just Works and add some tires with some real traction and they HookUp
  12. I strongly disagree my opinion it’s a lowered Z71 with Better Traction best year round vehicle been tested since 2006 up here in New England never been Towed and never Been Stuck going through snow my buddies Tundra TRD off-road package Couldn’t go through without getting stuck same stuff I was killing with my truck without any hesitation Guy was beside himself watching me snow flying through the air like a mud truck in a mud pit from all 4 Wheels
  13. Magna flow might make a direct replacement y-pipe with high flow cats my friend got one for his 2005 Tahoe they might make one for these trucks worth looking into.
  14. i believe it’s for both the rear abs and speed for your speedo
  15. there is also a sensor in the tail shaft on the transfer case for your rear drive shaft easy to unplug and remove and take a look at and clean
  16. Sucks to deal with just got money back in my account
  17. Do not order anything from this place if you google the parts by name you need it will bring you to a website search that looks to have anything you could need place an order and youll get a tracking number for a package that will never get shipped google the actual company and it shows Permanently Closed working with the bank and I should have money back soon but they have been doing Shady Business from what I can see Since 2015 sending Wrong Parts and taking the return from them for a refund and keeping the money and their Location is a shopping plaza with no Warehouse in sight from what the police department had told me last week the post office had said they have been purchasing cheap shipping labels and never showing up to ship anything so they make it look legit until you start looking deeper into the situation sucks when its the end of the day in the driveway with dirty hands and just trying to put in a order without time to research the company Ive never had a problem before ordering parts guess shit happens.
  18. ive ripped mine in 2-3 ft of snow with 285/55/20 Nitto Dune Grappler E Load 5ply tires they are heavy tires but indestructible Awd drifting up snow covered mountain roads going into Rangeley Maine with a Trailer and 2 SnowMobiles thing goes any where you want with the right traction tires way better then any switchable 4x4 Z71
