  1. Let's bring this necro thread back to life and on track. Can you convert an SS's AWD system to a push button system? You'd need the Tcase, Tcase control module, push buttons and maybe some work with a Tech II, but seriously, is it possible? I haven't removed any of my bezels yet, but are the plugs even behind the dash for the push buttons? I know I have fog light connectors behind my bumper! Being as these are just a production Silverado, i'm almost wanting to say the wiring and such might be in place, which would just leave the components and maybe some programming.
  2. Getting some traction on the subject over on PT.net: http://www.performan...nt-help-512279/ I'll keep the thread on PT updated as the situation progresses.
  3. ^ Dang. Well, unfortunately I don't think I share the same problem. Otherwise, my line pressure would be ok just no/little movement.
  4. Did you ever find out what the problem was? Coincidently, I have the same EXACT issue right now with a Friend's Escalade. Lost all forward/reverse movement. He said for about a year, on cold start, the truck takes slightly longer than usual to go into gear initially. And, on cold start there is sometimes a hydraulic 'moan' from under the truck. Last night, he was out driving and upon getting on the the highway from a stop, it started slipping at the top of 1st. Hit the limiter on the 1-2. Said it was like he was spinning the tires before it hit the limiter, but it's AWD so that wasn't the case. After this occoured, pulled over and had no gears at all. I pulled it to the shop, got a line pressure gauge on it and it's barely got 50psi in P/N with EPC commanded to max line psi. WOT in Reverse produces about 20 psi tops, whereas should be upwards of 300+. You can also hear a very loud moan from the pump area, and the more line psi you command, the louder the moan gets. Almost like a power steering system with air, that kind of noise. Teardown shows forward clutches burnt and slight wear on the 3-4's as well. Rest looks pretty normal. However, I can't, for the life of me, find ANYTHING wrong with the pump/filter/valvebody/epc screen. I have no clue why it has no/low line psi! Very frustrating. Pump vanes/rings cover and body all look great. Any help appreciated guys!
  5. Thanks for the Emails guys, picked up one in Iowa last weekend! Pics and more to come on my Profile as I join the SS cult!
  6. I just recently sold my Crew Cab Silverado and want to move into an SS. Cash in hand, just looking for the right one. Autotrader doesn't have much, and experience has taught me that the Forums are a great place to find the good stuff. So, looking for a CLEAN, lower mileage SS. No Red, only Blue or Black. As close to stock as possible, but will bend the rules a bit if the truck is right for me so don't be afraid to ask, I might just want what you got! Looking to close a deal fast, so if ya got it and want to sell it, or know a friend that might want to let it go, please, get them in touch with me. Fastest method is via email: [email protected] Thanks guys!
