  1. Dropped the price to bring it more inline with what a stock SS is going for on Autotrader

  3. I have a proportioning valve with a bracket that attaches to the master cylinder studs. Like the picture attached. 2 lines from the master cylinder go into it, 2 lines come out going to the ABS unit. But the bracket hits the hydroboost hoses and the valve doesn't line up with the brake lines any more.
  4. Another question: What did you guys do with the proportioning valve? Now that the MC mounts further back, it doesn't line up with the lines. Did you just leave it hanging?
  5. I ended up trimming about 3/8" off the top of the hole, fit just fine after that. I think part of the problem was I bought this from someone who parted out their SS, and noticed the studs were bent a little, most likely from the crank-it-down method.
  6. Got a question as well, installing my hydro boost unit now, and I see that the nut that holds the hydro boost unit to the mounting plate (with the 4 bolts) hits the top of the hole the old booster went through. Did anyone else grind this area open or just crank it down and hope it bends enough to fit?
  7. Is your engine bone stock or do you have other mods?
  8. Take a look at the install instructions - http://www.superchargersonline.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=81 It shows how they change the fuel pump, pretty sure it's just a Walbro pump.
  9. Most likely they are recalibrated. I've had it done to older Ford MAF meters in the past. But unless you're maxing out the stock meter, it will do more harm then good, because the ECU is calibrated for the stock flow curve.
  10. I'm most likely in, but would like to have a more accurate price estimate. Anyone have pics? I've seen them in the past but can't find them now.
  11. I looked into the Inline Tube set, but read a bunch of bad reviews about their customer service and decided to get a set from Classic Tube. Ordered from Summit - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cst-ct1195sb-ss/overview/ That set comes with the flexible stainless lines as well, which are ~$120 by themselves. Just make sure you get the right ones, I think they have slight variances for certain years. I haven't installed them yet though, too damn cold outside right now.
  12. Depending on cost, I'd be interested in a CF cover if someone started a group buy or is willing to make a small batch
  13. Daisy is a bot, google that name and you'll find a bunch of posts by "her" and they all have that website in them.
  14. You wont find a budget header with cats. If you already have headers, just add cats to them. Magnaflow has some universal metallic cats for ~$100 each. Just need to find some that fit.
  15. Will you be using the stock intake or something different? Keep in mind a different intakes can have different size injectors. You also need to pay attention to the connectors needed, some injectors will require adapters, which will cost more $$$
  16. The front differential whining is very common on our trucks, but any reputable drivetrain shop should be able to handle the rebuild easily. If it just started, then maybe try changing the fluid first. I had mine rebuilt by DTS, but I removed/installed it from the truck myself. Not too hard of a job, but you have to find just the right angle to get it out and back in.
  17. Russell 672430 should be the correct part number for an 03 SS. I bought a set of them for my 03, but ended up returning them because I bought a Classic Tube kit with all new hard lines and flex lines. The 4x4 and SS lines should be the same, assuming same model year.
  18. Keep in mind combustion chamber size differences between the stock heads and 243 heads. 243 heads will raise the CR and with the SC might cause detonation.
  19. I have them and like them, install was easy enough, no need to modify anything to get them to bolt up. The only knock against them is that they have the hump that can hit the spark plug wires unless you tie them out of the way. They also have what looks like an EGR port on one of the headers, I had to buy a block-off plate for it, would have been nice if it was included. As for sound differences between headers, they'll all sound the same, unless they come with cats, those will be a little quieter.
  20. I had a vibration at 65-70 mph and it turned out it was the tires. I had the tires checked for balance, was told they were fine. So then I dropped a bunch of money into rebuilding the transfer case, new rear driveshaft, balanced front driveshaft, and adjusting rear pinion angle with no change. Rotated the tires front to rear, and the vibration completely changed, shaked more violently and I could feel it in the steering wheel. 2 new tires and everything was smooth again. Tires can balance out fine and still be bad/out of round.
  21. Are your bumpstops compressed or just touching? I think just touching is OK, if they're compressed a lot, then that is an issue. It also should be noted that the driver's side carries the weight of the gas tank plus the driver, so I think GM cranked that side up higher to compensate.
  22. I don't think you'd be anywhere near being able to use it to the Fast manifold to its full potential with the mods you have planned. It does look nice though. I'd recommend looking into a set of LS3/L92 heads/manifold instead for about the same price, but more power. Push rods, valve springs, and rockers will depend on the cam. Stock rockers are fine, just do the trunion upgrade. I've heard good things about the BTR set - http://www.briantooleyracing.com/btr-ls-rocker-arm-trunion-kit.html
