  1. You know the driver memory issue i've had since the alarm was installed. But the issue with the remote start not shutting off when I press on the brake with the key in is fairly new which led me to believe that it is an issue with loose wiring. I would appreciate it if you asked man. I have a friend that deals with alarms but he mostly deals with older style ones so he wasn't able to help me much.
  2. I have a feeling that the installation of the alarm wasn't the greatest but before I pay to have another shop go through it I wanted to ask here to see if anybody had any clues as to why my SSS does what it does. I have the Viper alarm model # 5901. Here are the two problems I am having. 1. When I unlock the truck all the settings for driver 2 come up automatically. It was always driver 1 before the alarm install. 2. When I use the remote start the truck starts up normally but the issue I am having is after I insert the key and move it to the on position the truck should return to normal and out of remote start mode once I press the brake pedal. Well now the truck stays in remote start mode until I shut it off from the key FOB. Also another issue I am having is the driver side mirror always seems to have an issue with the memory function. After a while it defaults to moving completely away from the truck and not the desired setting. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get that particular mirror to stay at the desired position. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
  3. Silica in the water makes the water slippery so that car cools down faster LOL!!!
  4. Welcome to the site! And congrats on the SSS!
  5. A job in the oil industry will pay very well. With that said it is all about what makes you happy. If you don't like going to work then whatever the pay is will not be worth it. There are refineries in Hawaii, as a matter of fact the company I work for has one there. I would get a degree in whatever field you feel fits you most then look to begin your career. I was lucky to get the job I have 9 years ago with only a G.E.D. which now they look for experience and a degree.
  6. I agree! Add this guy as a vendor! Minus the butt lube lol
  7. Yes sir doesn't need to get too hot to bake the powder the right way. But like I said you need to take that into consideration before you buy. You can powder coat all you want but if you cant bake it there is no use for the kit.
  8. Does the job definitely. It's all in the prep work! Also a thing to keep in mind is where you will bake the parts. You must have an oven big enough if you plan on doing rims etc. Me and some of my fellow car club members found an old kitchen oven to bake small parts in.
  9. Yes the new style 5.0's. I was expecting him to just take off and i'd slow down and make it to work like nothing ever happened lol.
  10. Lol! Yeah man it came out sweet, all black emblems and black lettering looks great.
  11. Hit up idahoBLKss on here. He made me 4 stickers in the color I wanted for a good price.
  12. I will never understand the media. All regular season they bitched about Sherman not wanting to be interviewed. And now that he is talking to the media he is criticized. The guy is a beast and has a lot of great players around him in that Seattle backfield. Players from other teams talk shit and he shuts them up and reminds them about it after the game. I see nothing wrong with that he has backed up everything he has said.
  13. Same thing here....tried to drop my spare tire because I like to make sure it has enough air in it in case of emergencies. Wouldn't budge so now i'm in the same boat as most of you guys.
  14. I honestly don't see Denver getting passed Seattle's Defense. They are fired up I mean just look at Shermans interview after the game and how he talked about Crabtree. Look at what Seattle did to Graham from NO. SHUTDOWN!
  15. The refinery I work in is surrounded by long stretches of streets with no lights. I raced a white 5.0 in my stock SS from a complete stop..took off when the light hit green and I was surprised he stayed in front by half a car length. Not sure if he didn't know how to shift or what but I kept up with him till I had to slow down and turn into work.
  16. My SS is my daily driver. I have a 70 impala convertible currently under the knife. And I also have a 72 Buick Skylark that has been neglected for years sitting on jack stands waiting to get rebuilt.
  17. Also if Seattle and Denver make it to the super bowl which I think they will. Seattles Defense will shut down manning. We have seen it time and time again when the #1 Defense beats the #1 Offense.
  18. I don't think anybody can take away what they did from one year to another. Winning that many games after going 2-14 the year before is a great accomplishment! I applaud you for sticking with your team through all the bad years as I am still doing the same with my Raiders. But they did have an easy schedule and I don't think they have what it takes yet to win a Super Bowl yet! Smith needs to open up more and not be afraid to air the ball out. Jamaal Charles is a beast but you can't solely rely on him as you saw what happened to the team when he went out with a concussion. I believe the Broncos as long as they have manning and KC are the top two teams in the AFC west for years to come. Chargers still have some work to do and well my Raiders need alot of work lol. Just my 2 cents.
