  1. Just need a lingenfelter converter box, and new square port intake with your choice of fuel hookup/s. My truck had a l92 in it with the previous owner and is #9 on that front page list with a healthy shot of nitrous. Thats been 5+ yrs ago... It would be easier just to get a nice set of square heads and intake and put it on the motor in the truck, same thing pretty much..
  2. I have the street scene mirrors with power and no signals, only thing i lost was the heated option which never gets used. You wouldnt believe how much wind noise is cut down when you lose the dumbo mirrors.. Most people dont like them but i think the stock mirrors are way over sized to begin with, only reason to keep them would be if you tow, and then they even make a bigger tow mirror which looks even more ridiculous imo.. to each his own
  3. ebay.. me and johnny both used finelines set, they fit pretty darn good for me. Inline tube also has one, cant personally comment on how those fit..
  4. The idler to center-link zerk would be impossible to get without a gun with hose id think, iirc turn the wheel to the right so it goes right slightly away from a/c stuff then hoop the hose over and back toward you. Might want to start with this one as i always do it last and by then my hands are greasy of course and its hard to put pressure on the hose end which is needed. Moog makes an extension for the idler arm its self, goes from it to one of the sway bar clamp bolts so its easy access thru wheel well, i used one when i redid my front end.. http://www.carid.com/images/moog/suspension-parts/k6723.jpg also pulling the skid plate off makes lots of things 1000x easier ive found out..
  5. GM doesnt care about you unless you die while driving and its their fault, and thats a fact.. People should keep this in mind when going to buy a new car or truck now adays imo.. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-04-09/gm-avoids-recall-of-2-million-trucks-for-corroded-brake-lines To sum that ariticle up, nobody has proven a documented death from a brake line failure yet and it "only" happens to northern vehicles so they arent going to do a recall even tho a few hundred thousand vehicles will lose their brakes while driving up behind you in the near future.. Different day, same ole GM...
  6. I think GM lowered the price since they know they fcked up with the crappy brake lines and wont recall it, i have a friend who said he got all the lines from gm for around that price.. Can get stainless kit from those 2 companies off ebay for about $240 shipped, i have my truck torn apart right now infact doing this whole job, me and johnny have been disscussing it for awhile now..
  7. take the plastic skid cover off and take a real good look at the water pump to block for signs of a leak, the gaskets seem to go before even the water pumps do. My brothers truck lost coolant for for a long time with no real trace of it on the ground, could only tell if you took the skid plate off and looked at things.. my 2cents for today..
  8. flexplate sold, would take $550shipped to lower 48 for intake..
  9. 7states, 3000miles and 52hrs driving in total, but whos counting..lol will be worth it to have a rust free truck for another 10yrs.. sorry for the thread hijack..
  10. pretty much same way. I cut some 2x4s down and put them in the stake pockets so they go up into the new bed, then had 3 1x4 pieces wrapped in rubber stuff inbetween on each side with a c-clamp on each one 6 in total. then also used rachet straps in an x-pattern front and back from old to new bed. Had to tighten the c-clamps a few times but other than that did great for the 1500mile trip back..
  11. I just went to az to pick up mine, long ride indeed..lol
  12. It was in a jeep wrangler, so round lights and something like 9007 bulbs?? thats why i didnt really comment on it(has no relavance to this site). But like i said i was impressed, We got out once with the vehicle off and walked in front and popped the hood and i heard a fan and asked if the efan was on, nope it was the headlights, they have a big heat sink and fans on the back.. owner said they both had burned out once already and had to use warranty. Thats why i say the technology isnt quite there yet unless you want to spend huge money upfront like ^ he is saying.. But they will come down like all electronic stuff does with competition eventually.. I got back in my truck which supposdily has 5k hids in it and they made them look way more blue than i thought they were, leds were whiter than white..
  13. Have you ridden in a vehicle with led headlights? I have recently, i was quite impressed to say the least as i thought the same before. Just dont know if the technology is there for them to last a long time yet.. But it will be shortly im sure and we will all be running led headlights if i had to take a good guess at it..
  14. I also just remembered it takes a big metric impact socket i had to buy, then returned it when i was done..lol
  15. The idler arm which is the follower on the pass side is not splined, just tappered. The pitman arm is splined that connects to the steering box, i just replaced all of this and went with the 4spline arm and box. I dont remember looking at the stock stuff but im pretty certain it is 4spline for the awd box from everything i rem researching. If you need to know that quickly take an impact and take the nut off really quick and look then put it back on, pitman arm is not going to come off the box without a puller and some serious effort. or do like mentioned and call a dealer give them your vin and see what the replacement part number is then look it up.. my 2cent
  16. good to hear was at a previous repair spot and glad you found some replacements..
  17. fwhp and rwhp are two different things, going off of what you have in your sig and pic, how much rwhp do you think your making right now?
  18. common problem with centerline wheels, at least it was and wouldnt be surprised if it happend to another. best of luck getting one to match but im sure you've found that out by now unfortunitly..
  19. you better go pick that thing up before someone else does, im 10hrs away and still tempted because thats a heck of a deal as long as its not junk which im guessing its not..
  20. well first off craigslist is craigslist, dont trust anything on there ever.. But to answer your question i agree, sometimes it does feel like you have to bug people to take your money or buy something which should never happen. also goes along with what ive come to realize that now adays you have to go above and beyond being just the consumer buying things and help people/places do their job for them if you want it done right, which never use to be the case. sometimes this makes you look an **** which shouldnt happen, you shouldnt have to bug/complain/be an **** for goods or services that should be done right the first time and on time. sucks, just the way it is now. In some cases i feel like this is because of understaffed overworked underpaid people which i understand isnt always there fault, but wont change anytime soon with corporations and not people running things(whole nother rant lol).. One of my biggest CL or anywhere for that fact pet peeves is bad sellers description, save yours and everyones time by giving a good and honest description with plenty of pics upfront, its not that difficult people..! on a side note, its taken me awhile but ive come to the conclusion there will always be cheaper stuff out there. but most all the time you pay for what you get in goods/quality and services when it comes to stuff now adays, nice stuff isnt always cheap. by the time you buy the cheap thing twice, you could of just had the nice thing in the first place, my 2cents at least.. / myrant
