  1. Gotta remove that period "." from the end of your link, as it is it doesn't work! (Unless you click link then delete the period in the nav bar)
  2. Well, this "WAS" going to be a private message....but your inbox is completely full apparently, I got a message saying you cannot receive any more PM's lol So, this is my not-so-private-anymore message! Hey bud, I just read your post about the Outlaw, I replied to the thread when in reality I should have just sent ya a message lol I have to ask why you stopped using it? Would you consider it still in very good shape/condition and do you know if I can just snag a K&N filter to replace whatever it currently has? My only worry is that if it's no longer made I might end up wishing I had X part and Y filter I'm sure you can understand. If we could hit about 150 including shipping that sounds like a pretty solid deal because I can currently buy a brand new Volant for about 250 including shipping but believe me, I am all about saving the $ where I can so I'd like to be able to help you out with the 150ish as opposed to just giving it away to someone I don't know. Just let me know, shipping would be to Wilmington, Delaware 19810 if that helps. Let me know what you think! I should add this is for a 2004 AWD SS! I don't know if it matters much with the CAI? Thanks much, Joe
  3. I doubt anyone has either to sell but it can't hurt to ask! So, make me an offer Also looking for: LT headers, hi-flow cat, double din dvd/gps receiver head unit Joe

  5. So, obviously I've been sharing my news about new truck with friends. While they are all really happy for me, some of them have come up with some hilarious stuff I thought you guys would get a kick out of. So, at my expense, enjoy a good laugh ;) This brought on this..... Turned into... This Turned into.... this (This is me of course)
  6. I was in your shoes not too long ago. Hardest thing I've ever done is saying goodbye, it's tough but keep your head up and you will make it through. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers brother. Joe
  7. Hey guys, I do have a soft cover tonneau currently but it doesn't lock. I was looking to buy one of the fold-a-cover for ease-of-access to the bed but it turns out I can pick up an "Undercover" single piece hard cover color matched for about 1200$ and it's only 58lbs to take on and off. I have a hard cover on my old truck but it's fiberglass and very heavy/huge pain in the butt to take off so that was why I was turned off to the idea of a solid hard cover. This thing looks very sleek and after its color matched will look like it was meant to be there. Still debating though. As for the lock I went to a local chevy/gm parts shop and they are hooking me up with a color matched locking handle for 60$. I thought the after market locks would be a lot cheaper than a dealer handle but I suppose not so no big deal. Much appreciated for the help/advice though guys, thanks a lot Joe
  8. There's a chance I might be able to make it but no guarantees at this point. Mind if I ask what a "Test & Tune" is? EDIT: Looks like it's not happening anyway I guess, doh

  16. Anyone have any recommendations on a sleek looking locking tailgate solution that would or could-be matched to the stock black paint? I have a lot of hand tools/power tools that I need to keep in the back of the truck but the tailgate doesn't lock! It's not a huge issue since this is my DD but I still have to use it for work frequently enough that I'd feel a lot better about picking up the lock. Thanks in advance, Joe
  17. My '02 1500 Z71 just rolled over 200k. She still runs like a top, no major problems so far. She's been used pretty rough as a work truck, lots of off-road/field driving and lots of hauling tools/equipment. With lots more in the future. I have to assume our SSS's are capable of 200k+ as well, especially if you treat em' right
  18. Are there any folks out in this area? I'm in North Wilmington which is about 30 minutes from Philly. Would really love to hook up with some other SS guys to see how different mods look and especially sound in person. Maybe get a few tips and pointers and directions to the mechanics in the area that you know. If not, no big deal, I'll do my best to hold the fort down here ;) Looking to maybe have a late lunch/dinner at a local bar/restaurant where we can just pop our hoods and shoot the breeze etc. Where to go and when is very open to discussion since I'm not sure if there are folks around that are interested. Joe
  19. Probably because gas is $4 a gallon, I "almost" didn't get mine because of that but I decided screw it, I'd rather pay a little more at the pump and have an absolutely awesome truck ;)
  20. Are the trifolding covers pretty secure? I'll be hauling around a good bit of carpentry hand tools pretty often and the occasional piece of small equipment so I need a solid locking cover. Currently have a soft cover that came with the truck, its in great shape but like I said I am needing something that can lock.
  21. Well, I just had my truck on the lift at my mechanics shop. They told me everything is in perfect showroom condition! So, I'm in damn good shape and extremely happy with the truck lol Now that I know it's all tip-top time to start saving up for the mods ;) To-Do: GPS headunit working with the stock Bose system (to start, maybe a full system rework later as money allows) Volant CAI Corsa Sport Performance Cat maybe? What do you guys think? Headers EFans A tune of some sort, I know my mechanic has done other SSS and gotten great results but I'm debating on whether I should go with Wheatly or BlackBear instead Switch to Royal Purple full synthetic, old owner used 5/30 synth blend Lightish Tint, maybe 15% If there's anything "important" i'm missing please feel free to chime in ;) Joe
  22. Here are some pics I took today! In the background there you can see my red 2002 Silverado Z71 with 230k miles, still running like a top! Tried to do the img code but it wouldn't work so I suppose the regular old links will have to do lol
  23. Howdy folks, After doing a lot of truck shopping I happened to find an absolutely gorgeous 2004 Silverado SS with 30k miles. She's in virtually perfect condition and runs like a champ. I drove off the dealer lot with her last night as her proud new owner! I haven't gotten a chance to play with it too much yet but I'm definitely planning on it. I've done a good bit of reading around here and am pretty damn stoked to throw on a couple of mods as cash allows. I'm thinking my first purchase will be Volant CAI and from there... who knows! Looking forward to the future with my new baby (don't let the wife know lol) Joe
