  1. I actually think I really like it. The styling looks great, the engine is great and should be pretty easy to mod. I expect a great hobby vehicle similar to our trucks that could also make a great DD. Might have to put this on the list of "Wants" lol
  2. I've towed my tractor that weighs roughly 7800lbs short distances, 2-3 miles from job to job, while my work truck was down. It handles the pulling just fine but holy cow does it jerk the truck around. Not something I'd ever want to do more than once in a blue moon. Like the others have said, with some suspension/brake upgrades geared towards towing, we'd have a beast of a hauler but... why would you do that?
  3. Thanks for the info guys! I've been looking for something to more or less negate water spots ever since I moved in, thought maybe waterless was the answer, and maybe it is part of the answer. I'll definitely be investing in some detail spray and the regular car wash soap as well as the waterless. Not cheap but looking good never is! ;-)
  4. Not to necro an old thread but this is about the closest to what I'm looking for that I could find. I recently moved to a new house and found out the hard way that I have incredibly hard well water. It leaves water spots like I didn't believe possible lol That being said, with this product, do you literally just spray on and wipe off? Is it useful for muddy/actually dirty washes or would you have to soap&water wash first then move on to this waterless wash? I guess I'm just a little skeptical having never used a "waterless" product before, not sure how powerful it is on a daily driver that's recently getting covered in the wonderful joys of winter driving snow/salt/mud etc and even in spring/summer once pollen starts coming around, i live in the woods so you can imagine how that is lol Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Well, it randomly fixed itself.... Or at least it seems that way. Every time i'd turn the key on it would drop a few mph, turn the key on/off enough times it dropped back down to 0 lol Seems to be working fine, no idea if it's reading correctly, going to take it to a buddies shop and see if they can see what's going on with their computer. Thanks a lot for all the info, if it does turn out to need an overhaul then I'll be sending in everything to Steve as soon as I can snag the money to get it fixed! Until then I think i'll have to just live with the issue as long as it's not a hazard/i can tell how fast i'm going one way or another.
  6. My fiance has been borrowing my truck for a while due to her car needing some work done. This morning she came home and said "Don't kill me, I think I broke your truck!" lol Well, apparently the speedometer is stuck at ~40mph and won't go below it. It goes up as you drive around but it won't come back down. My initial thought was the cable froze and snapped since it was ~10º last night but then I realized it's a 2004 so it's probably all computer and no longer a cable? Anyone have any ideas? Like I said, it still moves, it goes from 40 up but 40 is the new 0 Might be time to replace the gauge cluster and do a full LED swap, seems like a good excuse to me!
  7. Mine is more or less the same as when I bought it. I got into it at 30k miles/mint condition for 19k$, KBB was roughly 23k$, still the same at 46k miles a year later. Trouble is, as soon as you take it out of stock and start bolting on mods the value depreciates greatly since you have to find a specific type of buyer that wants that kind of thing. Getting harder and harder to find these days I think since hobbyists aren't able to keep spending the money they'd like to.
  8. Talk about a beater that took a beating That's what honda's are for, can't imagine people treating our trucks like that one must have been treated.
  9. Slightly behind the times buddy! http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/79187-chevy-vs-dodge-trailer-hitch-to-trailer-hitch/
  10. Still looks better than any other non-SSS any day.
  11. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=165_1355648980&p=1 Essentially looks like two retarded 18-20yr old kids with someones money decide to hook up their trucks, looks like a 2500 gas vs a dodge cummins truck. Who wins should be pretty obvious just based on engines & truck weights but, the video is still worth a watch lol
  12. Doh And double doh. Can't justify shipping + payment if it comes with added costs to fix as well
  13. Wait, does this mean Millersss double cowl is available? :o
  14. Holy shit, close call! Hopefully the cops catch the dirtbags but, good luck with that.
  15. Forgive my ignorance if this is a stupid question but what more would you need to make this work on a stock '04 SSS?
  16. Yea, it's roughly 15-20lbs and I carry it back and forth as well. Worth it as far as I'm concerned, it doubles as a great junction box for all your power tools. (Also makes a good seat! lol) I set it up directly under my makeshift sawhorse workstation and run my saws/planers off of it while running compressor off of a separate wall outlet. It has a built in GFCI as well which is great in itself, can sometimes save those pesky trips to find a damn breaker box which a lot of homeowners hide behind piles of shit lol This new one has a lot of other features my old one doesn't have which look nifty, the USB/SDCard and mp3players/sirius dock etc are pretty awesome. Considering the utility, 119$ is a steal.
  17. I absolutely LOVE my Bosch radio, I'm actually considering buying a new/second one from Lowes at the moment since it's so much cheaper than usual: http://www.lowes.com/pd_293104-353-PB360S_4294689711__?productId=3184859&Ns=p_product_avg_rating|1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_avg_rating%7C1&facetInfo=
  18. Oorah Devils ;) Still shaking off the hangover from my own personal Ball last night at the local bar with some fellow former Marines. Semper Fi!
  19. That is terrible news, thank God you and your family are safe, it could have been worse but I'm sure you've heard that enough. You are a solid 2.5-3hrs away but I might be able to get away one weekend (can't be this weekend I'm working sat/sun). If you let us know in advance we might be able to wrangle up some other folks in the area and help you haul stuff in/out or whatever you need.
  20. Damn Rock, I know exactly where that is. Hope your parents are safe brother, I'm pretty close to that area (Just north of Dover) if I can help let me know, I have a big house with plenty of room.
  21. So far so good, wind has been steadily picking up last hour or so, looks like the storm is about 50-60 miles from my house and will be passing directly over me (yay) but, so far so good. Can't believe we still have power! Been flickering off and on here and there but no outages yet. Hope everyone stays safe, keep your heads down and your chins up and I'll see you on the other side!
  22. Nice! Thanks for dealing with everything jd, you are a boss in my eyes ;)
