  1. I heard some people use the valve from the brake booster for our trucks I might give it a try but man I really hope I can get this sorted out lol its embarrassing pulling up at lights all bad ass cammin and shit then blue smoke coming out my pipes **** lol
  2. I have it set up exactly how you said. I have the nnbs manifold swap on mine too so I didn't have to worry about plugging the pcv by the throttle body cause this manifold doesn't have one, and I have a ported ls2 TB which also doesn't have the Lil nipple to plug. So what kind of check valve should I be using any recommendations?
  3. I know it's oil, does anyone know what could have cause the sudden change? It never did it before till I re routed the catch can. I'm really hoping it isn't my piston rings, which I doubt for it is only at idle
  4. Hello everyone. For a while now I have been wondering why I was catching so much oil in my catch can turned out I had it set up wrong. I had the passenger side(fresh air) and the driver side connected to a T fitting that hooked up into the IN part of the catch can. The clean air was correct it is hooked up to the top of the manifold and to the OUT side of catch can. What I did was drill a hole in my intake tube put a fitting in it, sealed with rtv and hooked it up to the passenger side head, simply removed the t fitting and kept the driver side hooked up to the IN part of the catch can. Since then my truck has had a constant blue smoke. Only at idle once I'm driving it goes away. Did I do this wrong? I followed the instructions off the TBSS manifold swap in our forum. I have the tbss mani on my Lq4 and that's how he set his up. I heard blue smoke is bad, valve seals, guides or piston rings. But my engine is rebuilt everything is new only 3.4k miles on the new motor. Has milled heads, cam etc. This blue smoke can't be cause by O2 sensors can it? Sam Miller tuned it, said b1 s1 and b2 s1 aren't working properly, I replaced them before the blue smoke and they still don't show up on his computer so my truck will die when I come to an abrupt stop due to 1 sensor sending too much fuel to one side. I always thought the blue smoke was gas since it smells like it and burns my eyes and nose. Any who does anyone know what it could be? It had blue smoke every now and then on start up just like the first 2 seconds then go away and now it's only at idle. Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hey guys i just bought a pair of 799 heads from KHP yesterday. He recommended i mill them .040 to bump my compression even further than just a simple head swap from the 317s and use a stock GM gasket on my LQ4, like a dumb ass i forgot to ask if it would affect my PTV clearance with the cam im about to put in. Its a custom grind 231/239 .617.623 114 lsa anyone run a similar cam and or setup? figured i'd ask you knowledgeable fellows
  6. They aren't camaros but I will be bending some over lol well I called comp they say it's actually a pretty well behaved cam uo until you floor it. Met a guy yesterday who has the same setup i do with that cam and it's pretty bad ass with a 3600 stall doesn't die or nothing idles nice too
  7. Well I don't want to go with a 'mild'cam and regret not having more balls lol
  8. Exactly lol just worried about the lift. I'm sure it should turn out well with dual lunati springs just double checkin
  9. Unfortunately I found out the hard way switched to ngks lol
  10. Yea forgot to mention the injectors those will be going in as well.
  11. Here are the specs for the cam 231/239 .617/.624 113 lsa Being 617/624 is alot of lift I'm worried a out valve clearance issues I know some really good springs would help like the dual springs Comp recommends. But would I need some valve relief job some time in the future?
  12. Hey everyone. I know this has been covered countless of times but I thought it would be better if I get direct answers to my questions from you gentlemen. My truck as it sits has Pacesetter lts Volant CAI 3 inch exhaust straight pipes 4.10s and a KHP Tune. Khp recomended a 231/239 comp cam for the engine only problem is I'm kind of working my way up. Im planning on taking it to them a couple of days before my b day to get the cam 3600 stall and tranny cooler to get the most out of the cam. My only main question is,how aggressive is the cam? I see a lot of guys running 224s and 228s any big differences between those and the 231? She's my daily driver not looking for a full on race truck just a fast slab for the street!i want people to pull up next to me and wet there ****ing panties. main goal is at least 400hp. My second problem is the heads I can get 243s from them as well real cheap to. Only thing is I plan on slapping a procharger later on but I mean like a year or 2 I want to be N/A for a bit. Should I leave the 317s to keep the lower compression or get some 243s? Or 317s with different gaskets? Last question being about a month after the cam I want to get a FAST 102 manifold. Will my stock TB work? It's drive by wire and their 102 throttle bodies that I've seen are drive by cable. Thanks ahead of time!
  13. Yea bro ended up being my spark plugs. Almost all of them failed at the same time. Talk about bad luck. It's the second time it happens 15 dollars per plug isn't worth it. Pulstars aren't worth a shit.
  14. Well I had a spare MAF sensor and that didn't do anything still the same reason checked wires and plugs all seem well any other suggestions?
  15. Well that's where I took mine and it threw the 3 codes I described above nothing about a coil pack just a misfire code and fuel trim 1 and fuel trim 2 codes
